I think I paid only $9.24 for this cane. As a prime member, it shipped free and arrived the next day. Once i got it, I used it immediately and still do. It works great! And... is equivalent to canes I found at Walgreens for $30 and up! The only thing it needs, well... two things. 1 A simple method to strap the folded cane sections together when you get somewhere (restaurant, theater, etc) and you need to stow it easily. It has a wrist strap, which is good to dangle it while you are using your hands to do things for a moment, but that doesn't hold the four sections together when folded. So... I have a big rubber band I wrap around the handle to use to contain the folded sections when I fold it. 2. It needs a bit of rubber under the back of the handle so that it doesn't slip off the counter, table, whatever you try to temporarily HANG the cane on while doing something else! So... once again, the big rubber band I carry with the cane is wrapped around the back of the handle so it doesn't slide off the edge of tables and counters and other places I try to hang it for a moment. Heaven knows, I don't want it slipping off the table or whatever, dropping to the floor, and now... i've got to bend over to pick it up! Get a big healthy rubber band, wrap it around the handle for slippage, and when you want to fold it up, same rubber band will wrap (twice) around the four sections to hold it together! ... show more

This cane is absolutely beautiful. I love the sleek black look with the gold-colored accents. The rubber on the tip of the cane is a little bit to hard, though. It tends to slip rather than grip the ground.

    • Squeak, squeak.
It works fine and looks fine but it makes a lot of creaking and squeaking noises. You can hear it coming from about 20ft away. I thought maybe it would break in after a little bit but it's been a few days and it's no better. May have to return it. I guess it's worth $10, but I'd pay double for a quiet cane. ... show more
