    • Treble is WAAAAYYYY TOO HARSH!!!
I like focal! But their entry level speakers just aren’t good. I wonder if those leaving good reviews for these have really had the chance to hear install other speakers even in this relatively low price range. For me the treble on these things practically make my ears bleed. It’s far to scratchy, FAR too exaggerated and HARSH. SOOOO Freakin HARSH. Too bad I didn’t hear them before they were installed! I regret the install, but once it was done i left them in. I am not into pulling my new Tahoe apart multiple times leaving loose panels and rattles. THANK GOD I INSTALLED THESE ON MY REAR DOORS and NOT the front of my car. Up front I am two levels up on the Focal line chain with their 3-Way FLAX series. Even the treble on the flax is too harsh out the box but at least that settles down after many hours. THANK GOD. I don’t think I’ll be going with focal ever again unless I can do their Utopia be (yellow drivers snd tweeter). Those sound AMAZING but are incredibly expensive and so I wonder if I can get similar performance elsewhere for less. Over all I simply do not recommend these speakers. Avoid putting them in your front stage at all cost. The sound may be “crisp” to an untrained listener, but believe me.. YOU CAN DO BETTER. You can get a far less fatiguing, smoother and neutral sound that you will be able to enjoy at higher volumes for longer periods of time without feeling fatigue. These will stay in my rear doors for a while, but I am ripping them out the first chance I get when I feel it’s been long enough since my first major instal. ... show more

I never had the chance to review these before but man did Focal get me hooked on their speakers. They're service is great to, I accidentally burned one out and had it reconed with my 1 year warranty kicking in. Clean. Crisp. Great Materials. Very very happy with my purchase. I was hesitant to purchase these since I wasn't able to hear them first...but with my previous experience with the FOCAL brand...I took the chance and got them for the rear doors of my truck. They are amplified using a Polk Audio 5-Channel amp, getting 70 watts RMS each. I've cranked up the power and it's more than I need. Very happy with this purchase. It's nice that I'm able to turn the tweeters to angle upwards, since the location of the speakers in the rear doors are low, and can send the highs upward. They're built really sturdy and also LOOK great, with the carbon fiber design. (I went with a FOCAL component setup for the front doors) ... show more

These speakers are absolutely amazing for someone who has a lot of bass in their car as myself it tends to drown anything else out but not these speakers right here they sound so warm and realistic it's just incredible these are very very good speakers and they're expensive but rightfully so and really not even close to expensive compared to some of focal stuff but worth every penny one of the best sounding speakers I've ever heard in my life I just find myself being wowed by how good they sound all the time. i will forever recommend focal paired with a JL Audio Subwoofer a treat for the ears ... show more

You absolutely cannot go wrong with these speakers as far as clear and tough speakers. I always have my music up...ALWAYS!! and my first set of these lasted 8yrs and in my eyes I'm very pleased and worth every penny

I Promise You Will NEVER GO wrong With Focal! Just be careful with the highs! The Tweeters are very crisp but will shatter easily if too much distorted highs come through! Your best bet is to have them running through a 4 Channel AMP for optimum power and quality!

The performance of these speakers is excellent with bright brassy highs and mellow mids. These are not speakers to blow the doors off your cars, but for excellent clarity and vocal registers. I paid $65 here on amazon, so watch for price fluctuation. The only thing keeping these from 5 starts is the plastic mounting ring. It cracked on both speakers when hand tightening the screws. My other focal speakers have been of excellent quality, so I was disappointed to see this even on an entry level focal. ... show more

Like most of us, I'm on a tight budget so I had to save up for these. I had high hopes that these were every bit as awesome as most seem to say. I am running these as a part of my system off of that Boss 3700 watt (yeah right) amp and after a two week break in period turned the gain Up a hair and holy S#^% do these sound amazing !!
