The color isn't exactly the same as the picture and the description says they are not see through which is not the case. They are definitely not sheer but you can still see through them. I don't plan on closing them and just have them bunched to block the little light that comes through the sides of the blinds. They work very well for that. Great quality curtain. I walked outside at night to see what I could see through these curtains if the light was on inside. It's definitely very see through and you would need to pair it with something else for privacy. They are beautiful, airy aesthetic, very Japandi/cottage core vibes depending on how you use them. Exactly what I was looking for to use in my dining room to help block the sun but not be a blackout curtain. My only issue was that bottom and top hems were the same - the "rod pocket" was really just a turned hem - I had to stitch an inch down along the top to make a "rod pocket" so that the curtain hung with a bit of shirring. ... show more

These are just REALLY lovely !! There were a few wrinkles, but throwing them in the dryer with a damp cheese-cloth or a damp towel, on the 'low' or 'delicate' setting, took care of that problem. They have a 'linen' look to them. I have a smallish living room & I know that vertical 'stripes' will look the room look larger, whereas horizontal would make the room appear even smaller. The same rule applies to the human body, except horizontal stripes makes one appear heavier, while vertical stripes appear to make one slimmer. At least in MHO. In any case, these are well-worth the money. The only problem I had, was that they were delivered to the wrong address. They were delivered to a neighbor I didn't know, who accidentally opened the large box, as they were also expecting a large order from Amazon. They then realized their mistake, came & left it on my front porch, still opened. Since I was at work, the box was left in the open & at the mercy of 'porch thieves'. Suffice it to say, by the time I got home, the 'porch thieves', had paid me a visit. Most of my order was replaced & in NO way reflected on the Seller OR the curtains. Which is why I gave it FIVE STARS. I ordered the 52'X84, in the blue stripes. There are also gray (light) stripes, with, of course, the blue stripes, some of the blue are as wide as 3 inches & of course, different shades of blue & gray. The curtains are exactly as shown. BTW, they also cover much of the sunlight. When they are hung, I will edit this review. I'm planning on putting either gold or light yellow panels, to give them a pop of color. They would also be fantastic to use as a canopy around a bed or for use in a 'Florida Room' or a screened-in porch. All in all, they are truly lovely.
