So far, I've used this three times on three different bikes. Every installation has been hassle-free and very quick. There are definitely higher quality, more expensive BB tools out there from reputable cycling brands, but if you're not using a BB tool often (like myself), then these will be perfect. I applied a thin coat of grease on the threads and it spins smoothly.

Probably works fine for other bottom brackets, but the adapters were too large to fit in mine so the bearings went in crooked.

this tool is definitely meant for BBs but will press in any bearings as long as it fits. compared to the park headset bearing press, this one is shrunken including its threaded center--this means it won't handle extreme torque or pressure. you shouldn't be generating enough force to break this tool, but it's still possible to do so, unlike the park. the handle consists of two separate bars that thread into a central nut. this is a theoretical weak spot but as long as you are only tightening by hand it should be fine. overall fit and finish are excellent with good machining and care taken to clean rough and sharp edges. the treated aluminum is fetching and the dark grey should fit in well with any toolset you have. although I wouldn't recommend this for professional work because I feel it doesn't have the longevity, this is an excellent tool for the home mechanic who will only need occasional use.

I’m rebuilding my older Trek mountain bike and now that I’m older turning it into a comfy city bike. Towards this effort I’m going to rebuild my bottom bracket and this tool appears to be perfect for the work on hand. In inspecting the tool itself it is very strong - the metal parts (aluminum alloy) are of good quality and solid, nothing cheap here. It comes with everything needed to properly remove and install a bottom bracket. The screw rod itself is approximately 250mm so it will be suitable for head tubes and bottom tube lengths up to 140mm. The screw rod is 12mm diameter and the thread pitch is tight and fine. So, this tool should work with most common setups. I will update this review after I use it a few times on my bike, but so far this is definitely a solid well made and strong tool. I’m happy to have purchased and recommend it to any home bicycle repair/maintenance enthusiast.
