So, my kids ride Coolster 125's and have been sporting some maybe less than adequate helmets - bicycle helmets - it was finally time to get something a little better, so I started doing some research and came across these. We bought both my kids an adult small and per the sizing charts, this seems to work well. They're 9 year old girls and a youth size would have been too small for them. Just measure around their foreheads and then buy accordingly. If anything, one kid may be a bit snug, but a medium would have been too large, and a good helmet is usually a touch snug. Anyway, we had them literally less than 24 hours before my oldest kid smoked a cedar tree log laying in the middle of an otherwise completely open 3 acre field. Her quad is governed to 20mph and I'm fairly certain she hit it at full tilt. It's either on or off with these kids. :) Per her and her sisters account, she apparently hit the log, flipped over the handlebars and then the quad ran her over. Judging from her injuries (mostly a burnt leg and foot) I'd say this story sounds accurate. I wasn't there to see the event, but I have seen the log since. She smoked it pretty good, from the damage the log took. That said - her head was fine. As mentioned, she suffered some other small injuries, but she'll make a full recovery. So, all in all, could this event have been worse? Yes. Did this helmet save my kid? Possibly, I'll say definitely saved her some more injuries. She isn't hurt and she was wearing this helmet, so I'm pleased with the purchase. ... show more

Good cheap helmet. Sizes run a little small, but will break in. Not as good finish and trim as the older model fly helmet in the same price range. Will spend a little more next time, wouldn't buy again just feels a little to cheap. It will work good in a UTV with a cage but I'd want something different for a ATV/Dirtbike ... show more

    • Sizes run small, had to return and get another
I had to return this helmet and order another. The sizing chart Fly racing has is not accurate. Take your measurement, find your size on the chart, then order the next size up. Update: I ordered this helmet again in adult small for my 9 year old. The adult small is tight on her head. I'm debating sending this back a second time and getting a medium or large. My daughter measures 54-55cm. She'll have to break-in the padding or get a medium. ... show more

I received this helmet and it’s factory box with a label on it, instead of being packaged in another cardboard box. We received a different color last week and it was packaged in another box for protection. This one was not, but the scratches are not from shipment, but handling from a previous purchaser. Beware of paying new prices for used helmets. I am definitely sending this one back. ... show more

Perfect fit! I love it. I measured my head and went to the fly racing website and looked at the measurements and ordered by size. I tried on their website but they were out of stock. So I came to amazon knowing my size and ordered. Perfect fit and came in packaged just perfect.
