This was a direct replacement of the stock muffler, which is basically a muffler delete. It was installed in 5 minutes after removing the factory part. I did have to slightly bend open the pipe to get it to fit, along with some PB blast. It slipped right on. It is a high-tuck exhaust so it is not visible from the rear of the car. I do wish Flowmaster offered an option that would allow you to show the nice chrome polished exhaust tip. The sound is about as good as it gets for the 2.0T 4-cylinder engine. Has some grunt and does not drone in 8th gear, which is nice. It is significantly louder at cold startup.

I bought this for my 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL for the following reasons: 1. To bring a little "tone" to the exhaust to better hear it for shifting purposes with the manual transmission. *It sounds good and not too loud which is what I wanted. 2. To improve the acceleration performance in 5th and 6th gear. *It did this also and I can now pass a car at highway speeds in 5th gear. What I am less that satisfied is the "chrome" tip of the pipe. Installed correctly it is buried up inside the rear bumper and not visible from any angle. This pipe may fit the JL's but not sure it was designed for them. It's a shame to pay for the chrome and then not see it.

For $119 you cant go wrong with this. It took less than an hour to remove the old muffler and forcefully wiggle this new pipe on. Like all the other reviews say the Inlet diameter of the pipe is too small for the stick exhaust. I ended up heating the pipe and stretching it using any tool I could find. I got in in 99% of the way and sent it off to a friend to make sure there aren't any leaks. It is tucked away and you cant even see the ugly chrome tip. Would recommend just be mindful of the diameter. Hopefully Flowmaster fixes it in newer versions.

I like the sound but, just like most everyone else, I had problems with the install. I ended up taking it to a muffler shop and he had to stretch the pipe to get it on at all and then he had to cut some off to get it to seat onto the factory pipe. I expect more from flowmaster.

Excellent product; once I spent 3 hours with the install. Pipe would not slide over stock exhaust as required. Had to rent a loaner inner diameter pipe expander, to open up the Flowmaster pipe, to allow it to fit over the OEM exhaust. This is unacceptable for a product from a well known long established exhaust manufacturer. This is a well known product flaw that should be corrected by removing any old, bad production examples, from all existing Amazon shopping sites.

While the product serves its intended purpose, the inlet size was not fully expanded. The crease was only evident on one side. Had to take and have it increased to make fitment. From my research, this isn't the only one sent out this way. Not what I would have expected from a Flowmaster product.

Well to my surprise the clamp on my Stock Jeep muffler was welded on, but a quick grinder and hammer released it..

Keeps the exhaust pipes tucked up and out of the way. Absolutely no rattle I installed it on my four-cylinder turbo on which gives it a very unique sound! The only downfall or negative on this was I did have to pry out the tuba little bit and took some finesse to get the pipe slipped over the existing’s exhaust. But, a awesome product!
