Flow masters new American Thunder axle-back system for the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL is perfect for the person looking for maximum performance and ground clearance from their exhaust system. This 2. 50 inch system features a 409S stainless steel mandrel bent tailpipe with a 3. 00 inch polished stainless steel tip and fits both 2 and 4 door models with the 3. 6L V6 engine. This system replaces the factory transverse muffler providing a moderate to aggressive sound level. This allows for better ground clearance when driving off-road. Because the tailpipe is tucked up so high, an aftermarket metal bumper is recommended. The exhaust system is manufactured in the USA. Designed for an easy fit, this system includes all necessary parts and hardware for installation.

Great Fit and very easy install. Total Job from disassembling the original exhaust till startup to check the sound took 15 minutes. I've read a lot of review about the size being too small, not in my case. It was a direct fit. (I guess maybe the updated the size with the newer once). For cold startups, it's VERY loud. Once warm gives a good nice moderate sound.

Jeep JL 2.0T axel back
This was a direct replacement of the stock muffler, which is basically a muffler delete. It was installed in 5 minutes after removing the factory part. I did have to slightly bend open the pipe to get it to fit, along with some PB blast. It slipped right on. It is a high-tuck exhaust so it is not visible from the rear of the car. I do wish Flowmaster offered an option that would allow you to show the nice chrome polished exhaust tip. The sound is about as good as it gets for the 2.0T 4-cylinder engine. Has some grunt and does not drone in 8th gear, which is nice. It is significantly louder at cold startup.

Be prepared to do some fitting
Pros: Flowmaster includes everything you need to install it with decent enough instructions. The pipe seems of decent enough quality once’s it’s installed and It sounds pretty good on my 2018 JLU 2.0t. The cons: You are going to need an impact and pipe expander or it’s not going to fit. Flowmaster really needs to revise this and either note that it’s not a direct fit or fix their design. It’s far too small to just slide over the stock exhaust. I rented an expander from Advanced and after about 20 minutes of messing with it. Got it to fit and was pretty easy after that . Summary: It’s cheap enough and sounds good on the 2.0, just don’t expect it to be a direct fit without modification.

Terrible fitment
the bad: as of 9/27/19 the fitment is still terrible. The pipe is not expanded enough to slide over the existing exhaust pipe. Because of the way that Flowmaster has notched the pipe it doesn't expand properly. I have about 1/4 of overlap after renting an expander and opening the living hell out of it, had to tighten the clamp at a weird angle to get it to "not" have any leaks. I wish the Dynamax wasn't sold out when I bought this one, because I've heard great things about the other.. the good: the seller was just as expected with amazon, zero issues and fast shipping. Price was on point with all other retailers, and honestly I love the sound of these Jeeps without the muffler. If you don't like loud exhausts, don't buy it, but its not like having a 4 cylinder with straight 3" out the back.

Great upgrade for the price
For $119 you cant go wrong with this. It took less than an hour to remove the old muffler and forcefully wiggle this new pipe on. Like all the other reviews say the Inlet diameter of the pipe is too small for the stick exhaust. I ended up heating the pipe and stretching it using any tool I could find. I got in in 99% of the way and sent it off to a friend to make sure there aren't any leaks. It is tucked away and you cant even see the ugly chrome tip. Would recommend just be mindful of the diameter. Hopefully Flowmaster fixes it in newer versions.

Perfect Fit sounds great. Jeep JLUS
This was a perfect fit on my 2018 JLUS 4 door. It sounds even better than I had anticipated.. It has a great amount of ground clearance as advertised. Very easy to install only took me a little over 30 minutes. Another plus is the great weight reduction of removing the old Muffler. It's the size of a small hot water tank.

Installed on 4 Cylinder turbo 2018 Wrangler JL
Keeps the exhaust pipes tucked up and out of the way. Absolutely no rattle I installed it on my four-cylinder turbo on which gives it a very unique sound! The only downfall or negative on this was I did have to pry out the tuba little bit and took some finesse to get the pipe slipped over the existing’s exhaust. But, a awesome product!

need to widen the inlet
does not fit over the stock piping. and rubs on the bumper. not a very good put on and go. need to make modifications. not worth the price honestly.
