these heads are great for the price. Pumped up my 86 Scottsdale horse power by 20% I would think. The truck "gets it" and moves out smartly. I would say this is a quick and very easy up grade. all the drilled holes were perfect and the depth was just fine for headers and power steering pump and alternator also. spend some money and get the best gaskets you can to ensure top performance. on further review the heads will NOT hold up to a supercharger. I blew every head gasket. Machine shop said these are NOT GOOG HEADS. Check DART. NOT GOOD FOR THE MONEY ... show more

Took these heads to my machinist to have them checked over. He was pleased with the quality.. so while they were there they were port matched to intake manifold and also did some port work to these heads. All I can say is damn! Very impressed, haven't tracked it or dynoed engine but this engine pulls really hard! ... show more

    • Beware of sharp edges around all machine work-Be sure to break all edges to keep from cutting hands.
Look like a good product-nice clean castings with smooth runners. Came with guide plates and rocker studs loose,but you have to adjust them on the engine because they are two piece guides. I'm going to run the heads on a 383 stroker in a half ton pick-up.

Honestly I was nervous buying a set of heads off of Amazon for my small block Chevy build. Turns out so far so good. The break in process went well and I've got about 25 miles on the engine so far with no failures. Not bad for under a thousand bucks
