We used to put up burlap fabric to block out the view of a busy street, which was good because it was biodegradable. BUT it sagged and needed to be replaced every year. This fabric, while only up for a few days, looks like it will last for years.

This privacy screen is lightweight while still feeling sturdy. The grommets and stitching appear to be of good quality. The privacy screen allows wind and some sunlight to pass through while still providing the privacy desired. The length and height are great for adding to an existing fence, but I probably would not recommend using this in place of a fence as it is just material and may not provide the security that a proper fence would provide. With that being said, you will need to figure out how to attach this to your existing fence (unless you have a chain link fence, then it is simple to use the included zip ties and grommets), such as with cup hooks or other such hooks put into the fence boards. The zip ties that are included are fairly long, but not quite long enough to go around a fence board. ... show more
