The quilt is very light weight but is perfect for spring and summer. Unless you "sleep hot" it would definitely not be warm enough for winter without additional layers/blankets. I couldn't be happier with this quilt set. It arrived very neatly rolled and vacuumed sealed, the colors are beautiful, the quilt stich very well done and the perfect light weight comfortable material to layer over my velvet blanket. Because it is thinner, I will be able to wash at home rather than take into a cleaner. It compliments my bedroom painting above bed and makes the whole room inviting.
