The media could not be loaded. I was able to assemble by myself. I mounted with the provided anchors and it has held up for the last four months. I have a PS4, surround sound receiver, switch dock, controller docks, and movies/ games on the shelf. I also endure some mild earthquakes where I live. If you are planning to install this above eye level, please note that you will be able to see the L shaped mounting brackets. To me, this is not how "floating shelves" are normally mounted, and i didn't catch it in the advertised photos, but it does show that, so it's on me for missing it. Also note, that for my photos, there is an extra piece that we purchased separately... the white board between the wall and the shelf. My husband hates hanging anything more than a frame on a wall of its not in the studs. We bought an extra board for about $12 and mounted that to the wall, on the studs. Then, my husband mounted the 'floating' bookshelf to the additional board. The mounting screws that came with this were not as sturdy as my husband thinks should be used, so you might want to have some of your own hardware for this. This shelf was easy to assemble and had adequate instructions. All pieces were in good condition, without scratches, and fit together squarely. My 6' son is using it for his books, please disregard the random objects he grabbed for makeshift book ends. I've ordered him real book ends! The only thing left i think i should address is the visible hardware inside the shelving ends that you can see. They provide white sticker dots that may be applied to the hardware, to help camouflage it, but my son thought the stickers were dumb, and opted not to use them. So this would theoretically look better with those. I'm very satisfied with this shelf. ... show more

The weight says 14 lbs but it sure feels much heavier than that. I don't trust the 8 screws/anchors to hold this so I'm going to have to mount it on a board so it can get anchored to a stud.
