The build quality seems pretty solid. I’ll be testing it in open water in a few weeks and will update this review with performance details after that. The flotation band can be pulled firmly taut and holds its shape well under tension. It's a bit hard to show its strength visually since it's more of a feel thing, but I included a photo of it wrapped tightly around a soda can. The can was visibly indented all the way around. It could’ve been tightened even more, but that would’ve turned it into a tourniquet. That said, it's still easy to loosen up if needed. It comes with two straps and two camera loop clips. The clips make it quick and easy to attach or detach the wristbands. The flotation loop should fit most wrist sizes. Men with larger hands might need to unloop it to slip it on, but if the camera is already attached, re-looping it is simple. The fabric is soft, and the inner core feels cushy but dense and firm. The stitching on the camera strap side looks strong enough to easily support a 280g camera. I would’ve liked to see a second row of stitching on the loop end for added durability, but the existing stitch seems solid so far.

I ordered this for use with my phone (in a waterproof float bag) for when I'm on the lake. I have several float bags, but don't quite trust them on their own. I've never had anything sunk, but I've had it dip below enough of the water to not be able to see it clearly. Well, this float lanyard solves that issue! This thing is BRIGHT pink - I always look for colors that will be contrasting enough to see on or in dark water - and almost glows. My second choice colors would have been the neon yellow or green. Also, it is HUGE! Like, for underwater camera enthusiasts, it is probably perfect. You can wear it on your wrist, and it's got a bit of stretch, and it's super easy to see! There is no doubt in my mind that this float will work great with any camera or phone. I've had similar float lanyards that were half the size that worked pretty good, but this is like Polska kielbasa ring size!!! I'm joking, but it's BIG. This isn't a "take a stroll on the beach" while wearing this for miles at a time. I mean, it could be - it's light enough - but it's a bit bulky for me. But for my purpose, while IN the water, it does exactly what I want it to do, and that's protect my device from sinking. There's also a locking clasp attached to it so you can unhook your device, or whatever you attach this float to, to make it easier to use in tight spaces or weird angles. I have no worries that it might accidentally come unclipped, because you have to pinch in 2 tabs to get it to release. I think the price is perfect for this floaty wristlet lanyard. Around $10 to save a several hundred dollar device is a steal! Think of it as insurance. :)

Works exactly like you'd hope. I tested it with my GoPro in the waterproof housing and it floated just fine, even with a small light attached. It’s not meant to float a brick, but for basic setups it does the job. The strap is comfortable and easy to spot in the water. Good to have some peace of mind when you're out on the lake or in the ocean.

Whether I’m kayaking or snorkeling, this strap gives me the confidence to bring my waterproof camera without fear of losing it to the deep. First off, it’s super buoyant, it kept the small camera afloat easily. The bright color makes it highly visible in the water, which is a huge plus for quick retrieval if it slips away. The adjustable wrist strap is comfortable and secure, even when wet. It stays snug without digging into your wrist and gives me peace of mind that my gear is always attached. Build quality is solid, with tough stitching and durable materials that seem like they'll hold up to long-term use in saltwater or chlorinated pools. The most important rule when bringing small objects into the water is to tether them to you, or they’ll be gone. This wrist strap does exactly that. As a bonus, it includes both a floating wrist lanyard and a standard lanyard, which is a nice touch. Floating ability: Let’s be honest, the floatation ability is nowhere near what's advertised. It won’t keep a camera afloat, and I’d even question its ability to float a heavier smartphone. I tested it in my pool using dive weights, and the most it could support was just under half a pound. The manufacturer really needs to update their marketing claims because floating a typical camera or phone just isn’t realistic. That said, it will work well for smaller, lighter items such as keys. Build quality: It seems to be well made overall. I especially like the buckle and attachment mechanism. It's simple but thoughtfully designed. Color mismatch: I ordered the Turquoise version, but what arrived is much closer to green. (Check the attached photo for reference.) It’s not a dealbreaker, but the seller should verify their listed color options. Bottom line: Despite the color discrepancy and overstated floating capacity, this lanyard is well thought out and useful for small lightweight items. It earns 4 stars, but with accurate advertising and correct color, it could easily have been a 5.
