Description says 84"x48". It's actually just over 77.5"x48". After reading reviews of how brittle it was, I was super cautious with unrolling it. I first put it in my steam shower for 15 minutes, then very slowly and gently unrolled it. It rolled right back up so I put it in the steam shower again, and then was able to at least lay it flat with weights on each corner. I'll probably have to leave it for a few days before it stays flat, but we'll see... ... show more

****ORIGINAL 1 star review **** Bought the 6mm thick and needed it 96" to cover a wall. It came only 72" long. The listing says it is 8' long in many places including the title. One picture shows 72" and THAT is the actual size. Not only is it misleading but it's down right false advertising. **** UPDATE 1 star review to 4 stars **** Got a refund for the inaccurate listing from Amazon and reordered this item since its the only option like this. Figured I'd piece them together and live with the seam. However, second item arrived in a box printed on the outside with 4X8. Surprisingly, this piece actually measures 103" long. I'll try to take off my previous pieces and put up just one continuous piece. Moral of the story, check to make sure the box is marked 4x8 and measure your piece. Good luck. ... show more

Great product when treated right! I successfully and easily unrolled the cork board by soaking it in a warm tub. I unrolled and rerolled the outer end to become the new “inner end.” The original inside end, which had been rolled the tightest, was slightly cracked as I got to it and needed a bit of careful manipulation. I let it drain standing up in the tub, then unrolled completely on my deck to make sure it was dry before bringing it inside. Only the original inside end needed weight to hold it down. I bought this to put on the back of some 'window frame' picture frames I bought. I want to be able to swap out pictures within the frame blocks without having to tear the frames down all the time. The thickness of the cork is very nice. The denseness seems fine. The cork has a terrible stinky sock smell that after a week if finally starting to go away. The cork comes rolled up which I had a little bit of a hard time working with it because it didn't want to roll out. I wish I had a spot where I could have let the roll relax and breath naturally but it is a rather large hunk that I didn't have room to let it relax on its own. Luckily I was able to roll out a hunk of about 14" wide and cut it off and then it was rather tough but I managed to get a second hunk 14" wide cut off so I could get the 4 picture backs I needed. Then I just used a staple gun with 1/2" staples to hold it to the back of the frames. A cheap small razor knife worked really well to cut it. ... show more

    • Worked well for lining wire shelving - forget the plastic liners

I used this to line lots of wire shelving so small items don't wobble between the wires and glass jars don't clank when set on shelving. I put a pole through the center of the roll (broom handle would work), set either end up on two wire shelving units, and unrolled onto the top of folding tables. I used cardboard as a cutting guide and cut the cork with a box knife / razor blade. There were some jagged cuts where the cork "frayed" a bit, and a few cracked/split edges on maybe 8 of the 30 liners I made. Because its a roll the cork is very curved and I had to weight down the edges to get it flat. After sometime weighted it does now stay flat on its own. (I didn't check on it for a week or more, so not sure how long it takes to flatten out). Certainly more work than plastic shelf liners, but looks great, sounds nice when setting items on it, and way more ecologically sound. This stuff will turn back into soil quickly when I'm done with it, plastic will stick around for your grandkids to choke on. Looks too thin for a bulletin board, most tacks/pins would go through into the wall behind. *earthquake tested* had a 4.6 earthquake yesterday and I watched all the cork-lined shelving with hundreds of glass bottles and jars, nothing fell over! ... show more

Maybe one corner was torn; otherwise it was great and flexible. I cut mine in half and spray-glued the two together for a huge bathmat and it works great! (Sanded the edges and surface, sealed with tile-grout silicone). Great value! Woulda been 3X retail!

Works well for what I wanted it for. Did a cork board for our pantry doors to hang the kids things from. I thought this may not be thick enough for the pins but it works well with normal pins. I used some contact glue from the big box hardware store to glue on pieces to fit arround the glass white board, also from amazon. The roll came in good shape. Had to unroll it and leave it on the floor for several weeks to keep the roll memory out of it while I applied it. So you need a big space to lay it out, weight it down and leave it for a while. Would be hard to work with as a roll. The edges were a bit crumbly so there is one edge I won’t be able to use but it is bigger than I need for two doors.
