I purchased the 55" wide rustic brown desktop, which has a cool woodgrain finish. I am very pleased with my purchase. The desk is very sturdy and functions perfectly. The desktop is one solid sheet of MDF that is covered with a laminate finish. It is right at 1" thick. The desk does ship in two separate packages, so don't be alarmed when you get the message from the seller to inform you of this fact. The desktop and frame would be too heavy to ship together. The desktop alone was pretty awkward for the UPS guy to get off his truck. Watch out for the other standing desks on Amazon that have desktops that come as two separate pieces held together by wooden pegs! They can ship those in one package because they are thinner and far less sturdy. As for the assembly process, there are predrilled holes for the table legs but not for the center holes on the crossbeam or for the cable tray. However, the screws that are supplied are self-tapping, so just use a battery powered drill and apply a little force. The screws will quickly grab and pull right into the mdf. Same goes for the two accessory hooks. Watch out for the crossbeam extension set screws. When you extend the crossbeam it is very easy to extend only one side and end up going past the set screw. Then when you try to screw the set screw in on that side, it will fall right down inside the hollow beam. Yes, I speak from experience. No worries, though. I pulled the sliding center piece out of the beam and grabbed my extendable magnetic grabber tool to pull the screw out. Then I reinserted the center piece and made sure to keep it centered between the two outer pieces. The set screws all went in and bit into the center piece perfectly. The instructions warn you about this, but it is easy to extend only one side and not realize you are doing it. All in all, the assembly process is very simple, and the instructions are easy to follow. I already feel less stiff in my joints and more refreshed at the end of the day just from standing for half the day and sitting for the other half. I wish I had done this a long time ago!

The desk was a breeze to put together and was done within an hour with two people. Some people mentioned theirs came delivered in two boxes, ours came in just one huge and heavy box. We've only had it for a day but so far it is very sturdy, goes up and down easily. It does make a little noise when it moves between the sit-stand positons but nothing that is nerve wrecking or too bothersome. And I love the extra plugs on the back of the desk for my electronics, like my phone, that is within easy reach no matter the height of the desk. We got the 48 × 24 desk which fits perfectly in our room in between two windows facing our backyard. Not sure if that will be productive or counter productive just yet given we may want to be outside instead of working. But over all, we are very happy with this purchase!

The media could not be loaded. The FLEXISPOT EN1B-R5528B electric height adjustable desk is a fantastic addition to my home office setup. The 55 x 28-inch surface is spacious enough for my monitors, laptop, and other essentials without feeling cramped. The electric adjustment is smooth and quiet, allowing me to switch effortlessly between sitting and standing throughout the day. The black frame and top look sleek and professional, fitting nicely with my decor. Assembly was straightforward with clear instructions, and the desk feels very sturdy once set up — no wobbling even at the highest height. The desk is great as a standing desk and I'm glad I got it. The motor and controls work well - very smooth up and down motions all at the touch of a button. The pieces feel solid and sturdy in all positions. It was easy to assemble, however, the instructions could be improved to make it more clear what each step entails and the order in which you should complete them. I spent more time trying to figure out the instructions than actually doing the steps once I guessed at what they were telling me to do. --- Four areas that could be improved: 1. The lowest height setting is too high to comfortably use the keyboard while sitting. I've added my own keyboard tray to make it work when seated. (This is why I only gave 4 stars, not 5.) 2. Cable management is not included. Adding some sort of cable management and a way to secure a power strip to the underside of the desktop would be helpful. The power cord for my docking station is short - long enough to reach the power strip on the floor when the desk is in the lowest position, but not when in the standing desk position. I moved the power strip to rest on the desktop behind my monitors - it's a bit of a rats nest of wires and speakers back there, but it is out of view when I'm working. 3. The assembly instructions are not easy to follow. The print is small and it is not always clear what a line is supposed to be pointing to in a diagram. It is misleading when the pictures change orientation (perspective) from one step to the next. Some steps combine things without indicating that there are two parts that need to be completed before moving to the next step. The good news is that once you puzzle out what is needed, they have made it pretty easy to do the steps and assemble the desk. 4. There are no pre-drilled holes for the control power unit. This is not a big deal as I have the tools to address this, but it may be bothersome to someone who does not have a drill. Also, people may not know how to drill a hole without chipping the finish. (In case this is you, this page may help: https://homeguides.sfgate.com/not-splinter-wood-drilling-holes-41074.html. "Lay blue painter's tape on the surface on the wood, mark the position of the hole and drill through the tape into the wood. Painter's tape is a better choice than all-purpose tan tape because it adheres less strongly and is easier to pull off. Insert a wood-boring bit into your drill....")
