Okay, so this desk is insanely sturdy! My last desk was a hand me down that I flipped, made of pressed board and rickety. I knew when I finally decided to upgrade that I wanted something that was going to LAST. I didn't necessarily need a standing desk, but after seeing so many reviews and posts of people loving these desks I decided this was going to be worth it. Right out of the box, super heavy, everything felt quality, not cheap at all! Nothing came damaged and that's saying something because it came through FedEx lol (the FedEx guys around here are rough, and most of the time packages I get through them are crazy beat up). The instructions were perfectly easy to figure out! The only thing I will say about assembly, is like the other reviews mentioned, you will need a drill for at least one part of it. The center holes are non existent and you'll have to make those yourself, but it's not too complicated. It says you need a drill for the hooks to hold up your headset or w/e you intend to use them for, but I foregoed that because there were some extra holes in the front left identical to the ones you use to screw in the control panel, so I decided I didn't mind putting the hooks there to hold my headphones (picture included). I think it took maybe 2.5-3 hours to assemble by myself, but I also was very much taking my time. It does come in 2 packages, but I had read other reviews that mentioned that so I was prepared. First the legs came and the next day the desk top arrived. Gave me time to assemble the legs before the top arrived though, so not a big deal at all to me. Only thing I think they could do better is maybe creating 2 tracking numbers since they are shipped separately to avoid confusion or any issues if one package gets lost in transit. There is 4 presets on the control panel, which is super convenient! This desk is seriously sleek, moves up and down smoothly, no shaking or struggling, and I would recommend it to literally anyone looking to get a sturdy/standing desk. ... show more

This desk is a very good value. I've been using one for work for about 9 months. Up and down a couple times per day. I like it so much we bought another to replace a cheaper desk for my HS junior. I'd love to see if anyone could do better than this desk at this price point. Pros: + Very sturdy, even at highest setting + Quiet movement--I've adjusted during conference calls with no disruption to the call + One solid piece desktop--no seams + Size: I have the 55" X 28" I have two 24" monitors and my laptop as third display. Plenty of room for all of those side by side, an ergonomic keyboard, a lamp, two bookshelf speakers, a label printer and plenty of work space still. +Size, Part Deux: I have a 20" wide portable set of drawers I put under it. Fits great, plenty of room for my legs under it in the down/seated position. + Slightly beveled edge--doesn't dig into wrists with sharp edge + Easy to assemble. I don't know how one reviewer said it took him 2 days and 2 adults. The first one took me a 90 minutes, by myself. Second one about 45 minutes by myself. Cons: (really minimal, and petty) - Instructions were a little challenging at first, especially the connecting rod (one motor, turns a rod that connects to both legs so both legs adjust with gears) and the cross brace. Once you figure out that the hardware (legs/braces/motor) kit is designed to work with desktops of multiple widths, and that you just extend the connecting rod and cross brace to the width of this desk, it's easy. - No pre-drilled second hole for the control panel. You screw in the front into a pre-drilled hole, but then have to drill your own pilot for the second screw. If you don't put the second screw in, the controller will spin. Took 9 seconds to drill the hole + 90 seconds to get drill and bit from garage. - Surface had an ever so slight texture (while laminated version). No problems for me when writing--I don't even notice. If I was doing very precise drawing/drafting work, it might need a smooth topper. Buy it. Stop reading reviews or researching. This is the one. And I am not receiving any kind of incentive for this review. I am likely to get a third one for our youngest son. ... show more

I ordered this standup desk back in Aug 2022 and realized I didn't leave a review especially in light of needing some customer service help. Assembly: definitely needed two people as the desk is heavy. Instructions were clear. Sturdiness: again, heavy sturdy desk but when extended to full height can be a little shaky. Not enough to interrupt typing or writing or feel like its unstable Mechanics: up and down work as described and are easily adjustable Only thing I didn't like about the desk is the desk top itself is rough so writing on a single sheet of paper would create bumps. I ordered a clear plastic desk cover and that solved the problem. It also serves as additional space for me to put papers that I reference frequently under the cover to save on desk space. My office isn't that big and space is a premium. Recently (Feb/2024) the up button stopped working. I looked up the company, Flexispot, online and learned that my model has a 5 year warranty. I emailed customer service who responded within 24 hours and asked for a video of my problem. A couple hours later I received another email with troubleshooting instructions and a request to again, video those steps and submit to them. However the troubleshooting steps reset the electronics and my desk a rose to its full height! :) Very happy with the desk and customer service. Would highly recommend this brand. ... show more
