I have owned this desk for a few months and have benefited greatly. The quality and value is greater than the cost for certain! After much research prior to purchasing an adjustable desk, this one kept my attention throughout all the searches, comparisons, cost, quality, customer service etc. While this desk kept beating the comparable options out there, I chose this one even though there were some random negative reviews out there. IF you read the instructions first, then start assembly, you can't fail. For those who had performance issues, maybe the rushed through the instructions and potentially affected the expected performance of the desk. I just don't see how this product wouldn't function exactly as stated unless the purchaser goofed something during assembly. Prior to owning this desk, just like you, I wanted and hoped that having the option to stand and sit throughout the day would be a healthy benefit over complications of sitting too long. I no longer have any issues ( sore back, sore feet, etc) so if this is your first time considering a standing/sitting desk, regardless the brand- you'll probably benefit too. I was able to assemble the desk by myself and the instructions are straight forward and easy to follow. Within about 30 minutes, my desk was up and running. One concern I had since I purchased 48" desk was stability and potential wobbling but the desk is very stable even at it's highest setting. Part of the feet on my situation are on carpet and part were on non carpeted area (the rear feet). It was easy to add a block of wood under the rear feet and by using a level, I was able to have a perfectly level desk. I read where some buyers were assembling the screws with a power driver and if I remember the instructions recommended this for the attachments under the desk. I also read where some found the screw stripped out from the wood and would no longer hold a tight grip. This is probably from someone not knowing how to adjust their power driver and they over turned the screw. I use my power driver often and know well how to adjust the setting to only tighten and not over tighten. However, I took an extra amount of caution and hand screwed so I could feel the tightness and prevent any mistakes. I would recommend this since there isn't an option to test power driver settings prior to setting the screws. Especially since the desk material is pressed wood. I did pilot drill the holes when necessary, which prevents mistakes as well. The second concern I had prior to my purchase was, what if it arrives and it's not as great as the reviews listed and what will the seller's customer service be like if I have a problem now or in the future? I have experienced both now and I can honestly say, I don't know what I am happier with, the desk or the customer service? When the desk arrived, I realized I mistakenly ordered the 40". Prior to contacting the seller, I went ahead and ordered the 48" desk, then contacted the seller and asked if I could return the 40". Even if I had not already purchased the 48" desk prior to contacting the seller, they would have helped me make the exchange. ( I was just in a hurry and didn't want to wait for the seller to receive the returned desk and then order the 48"). The seller reached out several times updating me on the process of my return and even helped me with repacking the desk to be returned. As for a Why Not to purchase this desk, I don't have a reason to share that I would not purchase this specific desk and especially from this specific seller. Until you start shopping for adjustable desk, you don't realize there are so many options out there it can be time consuming comparing, but hopefully my review will save you more time than I spent to make the right decision for my needs.

This desk is a very good value. I've been using one for work for about 9 months. Up and down a couple times per day. I like it so much we bought another to replace a cheaper desk for my HS junior. I'd love to see if anyone could do better than this desk at this price point. Pros: + Very sturdy, even at highest setting + Quiet movement--I've adjusted during conference calls with no disruption to the call + One solid piece desktop--no seams + Size: I have the 55" X 28" I have two 24" monitors and my laptop as third display. Plenty of room for all of those side by side, an ergonomic keyboard, a lamp, two bookshelf speakers, a label printer and plenty of work space still. +Size, Part Deux: I have a 20" wide portable set of drawers I put under it. Fits great, plenty of room for my legs under it in the down/seated position. + Slightly beveled edge--doesn't dig into wrists with sharp edge + Easy to assemble. I don't know how one reviewer said it took him 2 days and 2 adults. The first one took me a 90 minutes, by myself. Second one about 45 minutes by myself. Cons: (really minimal, and petty) - Instructions were a little challenging at first, especially the connecting rod (one motor, turns a rod that connects to both legs so both legs adjust with gears) and the cross brace. Once you figure out that the hardware (legs/braces/motor) kit is designed to work with desktops of multiple widths, and that you just extend the connecting rod and cross brace to the width of this desk, it's easy. - No pre-drilled second hole for the control panel. You screw in the front into a pre-drilled hole, but then have to drill your own pilot for the second screw. If you don't put the second screw in, the controller will spin. Took 9 seconds to drill the hole + 90 seconds to get drill and bit from garage. - Surface had an ever so slight texture (while laminated version). No problems for me when writing--I don't even notice. If I was doing very precise drawing/drafting work, it might need a smooth topper. Buy it. Stop reading reviews or researching. This is the one. And I am not receiving any kind of incentive for this review. I am likely to get a third one for our youngest son.

This is my first standing desk. I have looked at expensive ones but settled on this and I am so glad I did. I got 55x28. Fits in my apartment bedroom for home office. Was worried it would be too small but its perfect for my two monitors and laptop and plenty of keyboard space. The surface is really smooth and doesn’t seem like it will scratch easily. The up and down feature is smooth also. I am 5’1 and the lowest setting also fits me as well as the other heights. It is very sturdy and does not shake/wobble even with lots of items on there. For the price and function nobody can beat this! If your not worried about cable cord management, extra drawers etc, Get it. Don’t spend money on ridiculous ones 3x the price!

Update: contacted customer support and they explained the transmission rod needed to be tightened. Works great again! Love this desk! * * * * This desk was amazing until it stopped working. I've had the desk for less than 2 months and rarely use it since it is at my parent's house for whenever I'm visiting. The left side of the desk moves up and down without issue, but the right side does not move at all. I've purchased multiple Flexispot products and haven't had any issues before so this was surprising and really disappointing. I contacted customer service and am waiting their response. Will update once I hear back.

Easy assembly, just be sure you're near a power plug, or have a good extension cord. Raises and lowers easily. Infinite adjustments. I'm 5'9 and i can get all the right heights I need whether sitting in my office chair, standing, or using a bar type stool to up and down quickly. It's not the fastest moving up or down, but not bad. There are no pre-sets so you have to stop it where you want, but that's not a detractor for me.
