My kitchen cupboards are 47 years old (refurbished twice) and are not designed for efficient storage because the lengths extend farther back than even a long armed person could reach. The racks don't help that, but they do help me to make better use of the space that I do have. That said, the taller of the two racks is just about 1/8" too high (rubber feet removed) to fit the 14.5 oz. cans for which I purchased the racks. The shorter rack just fits without the rubber feet and lines up perfectly with my old existing rack. So, I'll keep them both. This is about my 5th order of these shelves! I used mine in a large kitchen cabinet that my husband used in a corner, so there's a lot of wasted space in there. Bought these to fill in that space to stack various things such as cups, glasses, food items, plastic containers. Also set up a little coffee bar on the counter next to coffee maker! They're pretty enough to leave out. Put coffee cups, large coffee mugs, coffee bean holder, cocoa powder, sugar, protein powder, straws, etc! Looks very organized and everything not scattered all over the counter! Also use these on a built in shelving unit in the living room! I am using to organize everything in my kitchen- from containers, plates, placemats/cutting boards and pots. I like that you can shorten them in smaller spaces. This wire shelf organizer is much sturdier than a similar one I purchased at a big box discount store years ago. That one had integrated hooks that allowed you to expand or contract the shelf pieces and "lock" them into place at the desired width. This shelf doesn't have those built-in hooks. It is just two separate shelves, with one being just enough smaller that it slides completely under the other. I used two heavy-duty white twisties (like the ones that come on electronic cords) to connect the shelves together at the width I needed. There is enough clearance beneath them for standard 15,- 20-, and 29-ounce cans (beans, pineapple, pumpkin) to fit. ... show more
