Don't be alarmed if the entire desk doesn't show up immediately. The tabletop and base/motor arrived on different days. For me, the setup took less than an hour. It's best done on a carpeted floor with ample space to work. The build is done upside down, so there's nothing heavy to lift. The instructions are minimal, and the drawings could be better. If you take it step-by-step, there is zero room for error. My setup includes a pair of clamp-on lamps, a pair of clamp-on adjustable monitor arms, cable runs, and various kinds of equipment on my desk. Unlike cheaper plastic-formed tables, the top and bottom surfaces are parallel and very strong, so all of my attachments clamp on, leaving lots of room in the middle of the desk for what I need it for—work. The adjustment mechanism that lifts and lowers the table is quiet, smooth, and doesn't wobble. I'm super happy with this purchase and hope you'll like yours. One more thing, spring $10 for the cut-out. It puts more of your stuff within reach and makes it feel more comfortable. ... show more

The year isn't even half over but I'm calling it: my flexispot bamboo desk is the BEST thing I'm going to buy all year. I went back and forth on what standing desk to get for two years, and this was the cheapest one on my shortlist by far -- next model up was $300 more, and the other two were $700 and $1200 more respectively. Happy to report I didn't waste my money on that. Pros: Wasn't too hard to put together. Height options are good for short people - most standing desks don't go low enough for me to sit ergonomically, and yet I'm the average height of women in the USA at 5'3.5". Always works exactly as expected, quiet enough to adjust during a zoom meeting, no wobble (even with 150lb on top, at the tallest setting). The motion is smooth enough not to spook my skittish cat who sleeps on one side. The controls/display are similar to high-end models (Uplift makes you pay extra for a display like this one). The price is also incredible - I needed a big desk for my monitors and didn't want cheap laminate since my old Ikea desk chipped and scratched so easy. The bamboo on this is TOUGH, no scratches yet despite the aforementioned cat's best efforts. Fits my laptop and three monitors with 10" to spare on either side. Just deep enough so my keyboard doesn't feel squished to the edge of the desk. As a bonus, the frame can easily be used with other desktops, so if I ever want a fancier version one day, I can rip off the bamboo top and replace it with butcher block. Perfect starter model for a standing desk. Cons: this is all very nitpicky, but I would have preferred a darker stain option for the desktop. If they make more in the future I might give this to my partner and buy another. I also would have liked four presets instead of three (sitting height and standing height for two people). Finally, I wish all the holes were predrilled. Most are, but I had to do a few myself. Doable without a drill but it wasn't easy with my scrawny lady noodle arms. Finally, I wish they offered this exact model in an L shape because even the biggest model wasn't quite big enough (I want a space for writing by hand plus a printer). The L shape models available at time of purchase had laminate tops instead of bamboo, and weren't deep enough to fit my monitors/keyboard/wrist support cushion. ... show more

I bought this for use with a walking pad / under desk treadmill. What drew my attention were the good reviews, the 72 inch single piece top, and the 3 section legs. Overall, everything arrived well packed and not damaged. The build was quick. The bottom and top ship separate. Since the bottom came first, I already had that built when the top came. The unit if very stable at 48” high with a desktop PC and 4 monitors on it. I little wiggle but nothing unexpected. The 3 section legs give it a wider range from the lowest position to the highest position. Since I was putting a treadmill under it, I wanted to be sure I’d be able to adjust it high enough. I am 5’ 11” and this works great. Still have several more inches vertically If needed. I’d put the build at about a 4 on a scale of 1 being super easy and 10 being hire-a-professional. All the holes matched up, the instructions were straightforward - however, you will want to look at the pictures carefully and line everything up. The 3 memories are perfect. 1 for sitting, 2 for standing w/o the treadmill, and 3 for standing with the treadmill. Exactly what I needed. The 2 motors seem solid for lifting the work surface. Obviously, down is faster than up, but still solid. The bamboo one-piece surface is nice. It has a little texture to it. No mismatched sections to worry about. Definitely recommend. ... show more
