I use this in my shop with a 5 inch plate and a rupes twisted wool pad. I only use it on speed 1 and very little pressure. I like to use the polisher to take out 2000-2500 grit sanding scratches. After that I use an orbital to polish.

Early review upon delivery: The Amazon listing says made in China, Flex's website says made in Germany. There is no statement on box, product or instructions which give an indication of country of origin. This is bare-tool only with just the tool and handle. You will need to purchase the backing plates and pads of your choice. This is a good thing as it keeps cost down and let's you pick your plate/pads. ... show more

Perfect for polishing out after wet sanding small parts, and is very easy to use for headlights. Much easier than using a drill for 3in pads, easy to lock the trigger with thumb, or one finger. Been using for about 2 weeks now, and love this thing., quality built, as expected from Germany. Works great for motorcycle parts, buffed out a bike gas tank with ease, speed control is at the end of the Polisher, and the perfect spot to adjust the speed on the fly. The only down side is no backing pads included, but I got a quality one for about 17 bucks from Chemical Guys, ... show more

Looked like it was used. Grease leaking every where. Called Flex company and they said that that's not how their products are shipped and that my unit may have been used. Send it back for refund. Ordered straight from Flex. Payed a bit more but happy with it.

This Flex polisher is assembled in China. It seems like a solid polisher time will tell. But it's pretty compact in size and weights very little compared to other polishers of its size. It does not come with anything but the machine and size handle. No backing plates or tool/wrench come with it. I'll update after a couple of uses. Thank you for shipping on time. Polisher made it home working fine and looks good. Thank you. I am happy with my new 2nd Flex Polisher. I ordered some other things from someone else but they could not deliver the right product and the other could not even get it out of the warehouse. Thanks again.

Made in Germany, nice tool if quality and smooth operation is important. I've been using it with 1" and 2" pads to get up to the edge of adjacent parts. Unlike a DA the edge of the pad can be accurately controlled. Ample power and nice soft start feature.
