This is a pricey chair to start with, but then you have to factor in all the time it will take you to assemble it. I'm not gonna lie, it took myself and my 13 year old son 30 minutes to just unbox it. Every single piece is wrapped in plastic and various forms of styro foam that is all zip tied into place. There are MANY zip ties and they are very tight. Trying to get scissors or a cutter under the zip ties is very hard because they are so tight there is not enough space. I ended up with several places where the the chair is scratched and dinged from trying to get the zip ties off. Not cool. Then, the assembly...it started out with my son and I, but after over an hour of struggles, my husband stepped in to help us out. The problem was that the tiny allen wrench provided with the set is no match for the over 40+ screws you have to put in. Well before the time we were finally done, the allen wrench was toast. Also, the screws are made of a soft metal that strips easily, so some of the screws were just ruined. It takes some muscle to man-handle the pieces together to make the screw holes match - my son and I were not able to do it ourselves, so thank goodness for my husband. In the end we made it work, but I'm not kidding, it took the three of us almost three hours including the unboxing. More precise instructions would have helped, like attaching the the rotating chair base - which is up and which is down? You can't tell from the diagram drawing, and each side is different, so we finally just guessed and picked a side. The cushions are also another story - why do they only cover the bottom half of the chair? If you lean back, you're up against the wicker instead of the cushion. Bigger pillows would be way better and make the bottom one softer too please, because your butt just hurts after awhile. Ok, after all the negative stuff, the chair does look amazing on the patio next to our pool. It's great looking and a good conversation piece - everyone makes a comment about how nice it looks. ... show more

Super easy to follow instructions, easy to assemble! Really great quality, swivels around smoothly! It looks great, comfortable to sit in! Much larger area to sit in than I had expected, I assumed it would be similar to the hanging egg chairs but it has a much larger opening and sitting area! Can be placed indoors or outdoors! VERY VERY DISSAPOINTED IN THIS CHAIR! first off, the instructions are horrible. i put a piece on wrong at first and it was because the instructions really don't show clearly how to do it. which fine, we can blame me for that. but my biggest issue is that i cannot connect the bottom stand to the chair because the chair is missing the hole to insert the screw! i was so annoyed after spending the time to put the chair together to notice this! so the chair is literally sitting outside, just the egg chair part on the concrete with no base because there is no way to connect it. i would be so mad if i paid over $400 for this thing. ... show more

This thing is well packaged... maybe a little too well. The whole frame is wrapped in foam which is held in place by zip ties. The zip ties could be installed a little looser as they are so tight you run the risk of cutting the faux wicker material. It took me about 20-25 minutes just to unbox and remove all the packaging material. Assembly is fairly easy and straight forward albeit a bit tedious. There were some areas I had to pull/bend the frame a bit in order for the screw & hole to align. Do yourself a favor and a get some hex bits for a power drill otherwise you'll spend a significant amount of time using the included hex wrench. The chair itself is very sturdy and seems well constructed. It looks very stylish, and the ability to rotate is a nice feature. The main reason I knocked off a star is due to lack of comfort. The cushion on the bottom is VERY stiff. I was hoping it would soften up after some use over the first couple weeks, but unfortunately it hasn't yet. Not quite a deal breaker, but certainly would give me pause if I was going to consider this. A friend of mine has an egg chair which I've sat in and it is quite comfortable by comparison. However, I'll be keeping an eye out for a cushion that could work as a suitable replacement. ... show more

First thing, this is not comfortable. The bottom cushion feels hard. I have other waterproof fabric pillows and they are much better than these. Secondly, the zip ties were ridiculous. I actually cut through some of the woven part trying to get it off and of course you can't really repair that. Third, contrary to what others have said, it was not easy to put together at all. You really could use two people as it is heavy and bulky. Trying to get two pieces together and screw in using the basic Allen wrench they include was ridiculous. You need a hex key set with a handle to get the job done. On the plus side, it looks great, it is large so lots of room. My little dog can sit in it with me. It rotates smoothly and I like that feature. For the price, though, I am not super impressed. ... show more

A very beautiful mid-century modern chair that is fitting for indoors or outdoors. The chair was packaged well and I had no issues with damage from shipping. Assembly was fairly easy and took me maybe 20 or 30 minutes total. The chair itself is sturdy and feels high quality. I love that it can rotate 360*. It looks beautiful and you can tell that it's good quality. As others have mentioned, the cushions are not extremely soft, but it's not a deal breaker for me, especially since I'm using it as an outdoor chair. Perhaps if I were using it more often or inside I would change the cushions out for something more comfortable, but I'm very happy with this chair overall and think it's a gorgeous addition to a porch lounging area. ... show more
