A lot of comments and reviews were very concerned about the comfort and thickness of this futon. I saw things like “glorified sleeping bag” and was nervous. I don’t know what kind of luxury sleeping bags people buy, but this is thicker than any sleeping bag I’ve ever owned. People in the US are really used to our big comfortable beds, as am I. I decided to get a futon though because of how much trouble I’ve had in the past moving so much. I didn’t want to buy thousands of dollars worth of bed that I would have to pay even more money to move with. This is not a mattress. It’s not a giant, fluffy bed. It’s a $150 futon. For the price this purchase was absolutely worth it. It’s actually even more comfortable than I was anticipating, and I knew I’d be able to make it work despite the less than stellar reviews. Out of the package mine did have a slight smell, but I have a strong sense of smell and didn’t feel the need to wipe it down or spray it. Fluff it, air it out, maybe spray it with fabric cleaner or deodorizer, and this futon is definitely worth $150. If you want something more luxurious then pay more. Price to value, this is portable, easy to clean, and well made.

I like it. It’s comfortable there was an odd smell on the mattress. But after I let it air out for a week or so it got a little better. I use it often because I get a better night sleep on it. I have a bad back and it feel good when I sleep on the mattress. I should have bought the queen size mattress.

I bought this to prepare for surgery next month and want to make sure I am as comfortable as possible. I didn’t want to buy an air mattress because honestly, they suck so I opted for this. I can fold it for double comfort while sleeping on a sofa. For the time being until my surgery, I’m using this as a topper on my existing bed (full size) and it been great for me. The item is delivered in a box and the mattress is inside of a shipping bag, which will likely tear easily. This is not the primary carrying bag that’s included with the mattress. As you unwrap the mattress, you are provided with two pillow cases, a matching sheet and the official carrying bag. I haven’t used my bag as of yet for transport but I will come next month. Overall, I have no complaints about this product. It looks exactly as pictured and is comfortable. It is also great to use for guests without a bed, and gives more of bed feel rather than sleeping on air.

Got this to replace a broken and lumpy western mattress and works wonders. Be aware that if you just put this on solid ground, a box spring or bare bed platform you will not have a good time, although it might be fine for one night or camping. I have ours on a steel bed platform with plastic boards, 2 tatami mats and a blanket to protect the mats underneath it. It slides around a little but is a very minor issue that can be easily fixed. Mine didn't get quite as thick as the one in the pictures advertised but it was plenty comfy with the proper foundation. Comes with a cover that is machine washable.

I like that it comes with a bag to store it in and a removable cover...... But it is NOT as thick as it looks in the picture. It's pretty thin and honestly that's really disappointing.

I was disappointed with this purchase. It basically feels like a thick comforter on the floor. Not worth the price. When I returned it, UPS wouldn’t allow us to use the box it was shipped in so we spent about $35 to return the item.

Everything about this is a disappointment, except for the floral design. That's pretty. Craftsmanship is cheap, materials are cheap, quality is cheap. Everything is cheap cheap cheap, except for the price tag. That was NOT cheap. Bad bad bad. Don't waste your money, or the effort and time it'll take returning it. Tried to post a bunch of pictures, but the option to do that has been removed, conveniently.

I bought this for the kids to use as a pallet for sleepovers. It is the queen size and as you can see, it's not very thick at all. Wish the photos on amazon were more accurate...and I really doubt there's any memory foam in there. The kids don't seem to mind it too much tho. I slept on it as well and it's really only sliiiiiiiighly better than sleeping on the floor. The bag it came also broke :/ zipper came off the first time I tried to store it. I regret not sending it back. Spent too much money on this.
