It is sturdy and durable. I wish this came in more colors or designs because I would definitely purchase more. This is a great gift idea as well. The quality is amazing! This can be used for so many decorative ideas, but I used it for a table centerpiece at a bridal party. This thing is gorgeous! Everyone loved this vase. It was lighter in weight than expected and it wasn't too heavy when filled almost to the top with water. I didn't realize before ordering that the flowers you put in it can only lay sideways. I bought a huge bouquet not realizing there were too many flowers. I used a piece of chiffon to wrap around the handles and a few flower stems to help hold some of the flowers upright. That seemed to work. This is a great gift. I'm thinking about giving it to some of my clients for their birthdays. It's very sturdy but like any glass vase it is breakable. You have to be very careful with it. It's soooo pretty though!
