These are simple dark stained faux wood frames for 5x7 pictures. I have a perfect use for them; they are great for me. I went (for the first time since I left in the last milennia) to a small reunion for people who were very dear to me when I was in graduate school (far away from where I live). It was a few days of sheer delight, and I dread reunions for all the reasons that people dread reunions times ten for all the reasons that people have therapists. However, this was the loveliest time with the dearest people, and lots of camera phones came out and lots of pictures were taken. So I thought as a nice way of saying what a great time I had, I'd take some of my pictures to the local drug store, print a set for everyone and the picture that I found most memorable with that person in the frame. It can easily be replaced if, as people do with pictures, they feel differently (or if in fact, they actually hate me - therapy). These are easy to wrap in bubble wrap and send for the recipient to do with as they please. These may or may not make it to a wall or desk (they have a folding mount and small hooks to hang either in portrait or profile orientation). This is not a fashion frame, but they are nice keepsakes for a moment you might want to share with someone as well and for under two bucks a frame they are great to have around for other memorialized events you might want to share. I'm very glad to have this for some simple gifting. They are also very lightweight for mailing -- do be sure to get your bubble wrap and you'll be fine.

These are a great value for a set of matching, simple picture frames. I like that they have the matting inside that can be removed if you choose. If you keep the matting inside, then you would use a 4x6 picture. I chose to take the matting out and use 5x7 pictures. I appreciate having the option and it looks great either way, depending on the look you're going for! I really wanted thin, lightweight frames that are kid friendly (so NO glass) and these fit the bill exactly while still looking classy and stylish. They were easy to set up, just removed the protective film from the acrylic inserts first. Highly recommend!

These are very good inexpensive frames for a large photo wall. The wall I'm planning to use these for I want the photos to be the center of attention and not the frames. They are nice and shallow. I like that they have a film on the glass to keep them clean for longer while I'm figuring out where each frame will go.

These frames are a good value and are well-suited for casual photo display, for example, tucked away on the corner or a desk or table. But they're not adequate for high-profile use as a focal point to showcase your most prized photos. The front of the frame (the part covering the photo) is a thin plastic sheet which considerably dulls the vibrancy of the photo underneath, and also picks up glare reflections from room lighting which can obscure the photo (be sure to remove the protective plastic film covering both sides of the plastic sheet). If you need high transparency and low glare, these frames are not the best option. Also, the corners and joints of these frames can show white cracks, where the underlying white paper frame material is revealed beneath the frame's black paint. I had good results concealing these slight flaws using a black sharpie.

If you’re looking for an inexpensive basic frame, then this would be a great option, especially if you need two of them! The edges of the frame are plastic not wood, although they have a wood look to them. They definitely feel like thin plastic. However, they hold up rather well, as long as you aren’t planning to manhandle them much. I would not use these for something you’re going to change the photo out of often. The glass is plastic like plexiglass, but VERY thin. The back is thin cardboard, but the tripod part that holds the photo up is a good solid hard paper style board like at the back of most photo frames. I think a two pack for this price is definitely fair. They are meant for easy, budget decor. I would not buy these if you need them to go the distance, though.
