I have always been athletic. By the time I was in my mid 50’s, I needed both hips replaced and my spine rebuilt. It’s a constant battle to keep the supporting muscles strong. The scar tissue on my hips is so painful (9 years post op), it made it impossible to do many of the exercises my PT recommended. This mat is PERFECT for my needs. I can finally do clamshells and side leg lifts without being in agony. A bonus benefit is the rods in my spine don’t bang on the floor when I’m on my back. The mat is very lightweight and folds for easy storage. I can also fold it in a way, I can pad my back and butt for meditation. I need the wall for back support. Nothing like your metal spine banging on the wall when you are trying to quiet your thoughts! 😂 I found the price point very affordable too. My only tiny complaint is the shipping took forever. Free for Prime members, but took at least three weeks to arrive. Other than that minor inconvenience, it’s awesome. My cat got his claws into it tonight and didn’t do any damage. Well made for sure!

Nice quality mat. Very firm and thick. Bought to lay on bed for post knee surgery exercises. Works well for this and will be good for floor exercise later on

These gymnastics mats were kind of a mixed bag for us. The blue color is great—nice and bright without looking cheap—and they worked fine for what we needed most of the time. That said, the thickness is not amazing. If you are buying these specifically for serious gymnastics or big tumbles, they are probably going to feel a little “meh.” They are definitely better than hitting the hard floor, but they are not super cushioned or professional-level by any means. However… for around $20, I honestly cannot complain too much. For light play, stretching, and just having something soft down, they did the job. We even took them camping and used them under our sleeping bags for extra padding support, which worked surprisingly well! Overall, if you need thick, heavy-duty mats, these are probably not it. But for the price and for casual use, I would buy them again.

My kids been practicing Judo for 3 years now. We felt the need to help them out at home. PROS: the mats are well built, storable, cleanable, lightweight. Cons: the material slips. We put 2 together but the vinyl slips them apart. Size is not for grownups, nor can you get 5 of these and build a large tatami. Overall the mats are practical, usable and has a similar feel to a tatami.

These are perfect, imho. I purchased these for two sides of the Step2 Skyward Summit Climber. My grand daughter is 4 and her friends are 6 and 8. Sure enough, she tumbled off the first day, on to the mat. The only thing bruised was her feelz. PRO TIP: I purchased a 48 inch Lifetime Adjustable Table, and 10 Ft Dark Green Umbrella Canopy, to store the Mats under the table, along with a small plastic shelf toys outside. I cover it with the umbrella canopy to keep things clean and dry, and less of an eye sore. I just plop a plastic barrel looking planter on top, to keep it the cover from blowing off.

I needed something to soften the hard floor when I'm doing exercises for my back, and this mat works very well. I can't feel the floor at all. The foam is thick and dense, so you don't sink down into it too far. The length is good for a small or average-height person; if you are very tall, you might want something a little longer. It's wide enough that I don't feel that I would fall off, but not wide enough to roll side to side without adjusting your position. The material encasing the foam is some sort of vinyl or plastic; it's easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth, but it's not breathable. The mat is reasonably lightweight and folds easily; I store it in a closet when I'm not using it. I'm not sure I would use a mat this thick for yoga, particularly poses on one foot. I think your feet would sink in enough to potentially affect your balance. But it's excellent for most of my back and hip PT exercises.
