For GoPro HERO12 Black. Purchased on 11-27-2023 for $14.99. So, I have yet to use this. Keep that in mind while reading this review. This is 1/3 the price of the GoPro branded underwater housing, and that's the main reason why I gave this a try. GoPro branded accessories are all OVERpriced. (FYI, I have purchased other FiTSTILL accessories for the GoPro HERO12 and the Insta360 X3. I have been happy with every item.) I also purchased a GoPro branded housing. It's OEM and comes with a separate skeleton backdoor for on-land use. I figured it's a proven product, too. And yes, I do have 2 GoPro cameras. The lens on this housing is glass, as it is with GoPro's, so the image quality won't suffer as much had the lens been plastic. But, anytime an additional layer of anything is stacked on top of a camera lens, there will be a degradation in image quality. It's a matter of minimizing the loss in quality, and glass performs better than plastic. There are external buttons to activate the Power/Mode and Shutter switches. For obvious reasons, you lose touchscreen functionality. A thumb screw, quick connect adapter, and anti-fog strips are included. The one thing that this doesn't have that the GoPro branded housing offers is a separate skeleton backdoor. Many people add underwater housings for extra protection as hard shells on their cameras for super rugged activities, and a skeleton back allows air ventilation to mitigate the camera from overheating. With a waterproof back, your camera overheats quickly during extended use, then shuts down. Not ideal. This has an IP68 rating, so it is dustproof and waterproof. You should know that the "8" in the IP68 rating doesn't mean that it was tested to a depth of 196' by the certifying agency. The 196' depth is claimed by the manufacturer only. The IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) does not specify the depth at which or to which tests must be conducted for certification, so the test for the IP68 rating was most likely conducted at less than 20'. If/when I test it for waterproofness, I'll update.

Well this is way less money than name brand, but the cameras fit in there well, the controls all work, and no water got in. So, I would say good product so far!
