  • Could be better
Item Shape: Square - Large Screen
First off, if you get nothing else from this, beware of this: It says that it's waterproof and it probably is in the sense that it won't break but I tried showering with it once when I first got it and within the first minute, so not even soaked yet, the sensor turned on and burned the f out of me, soo probably still don't do that. Forgot to take it off before doing the dishes once and even though it barely had any water on or around it it still burned me so now it doesn't go near water. . GHOST STEPS! This morning it added a random /600/ ghost steps to my count! (I was also counting my steps and had my phone's built in pedometer; I was only at 117 when I looked at my watch and saw 739.) So I set the watch down on the counter and decided to walk until I caught up to my watch. I look at it again and see that it's at 1026?????? From being on the counter?!?! What??! Mind I triple checked it when I set it down to make sure I was catching up the right amount of steps and it remained at 751 (apparently 12 steps from my room to the counter) so I know it accrued almost 300 ghost steps sitting on the counter. It's not linked to my phone, either. . The band doesn't fit. One slot is too loose, so loose that it slides around, go one slot tighter and it's so tight it's leaving impressions. On all my other watches the band's slots are slightly closer together. I'm sure I could switch them but if it was made right in the first place I wouldn't have to. In addition to things not working, I can't get messages _or_ music to work, yet I can't replace those screens with something I might actually find useful. Which is a nice segue into how restrictive this watch really is. The backgrounds are _extremely,_ excessively restrictive. If you want to use your own background through the "customize" feature you get _nothing else._ No clock, none of the monitoring features, nothing, because in order to have something log or auto-check say your step count, heartbeat, or your O2 saturation it has to be on the main screen so you can't customize anything without losing the features you need. To say, your options are very limited. So if you need a specific feature and there's only one background for it you're stuck with it even if you hate it as is the case with the O2 saturation. What I would love to see is the ability to pick your favorite background AND theme (because they have some really amazing looking themes and background to choose from) and then customize it by adding the individual features you need. It's odd that they've given the illusion of variety while putting in the absolute bare minimum effort for customizing it for what you actually need. I can't speak for it's accuracy, either. I can only take someone else's word for it when I asked if the O2 monitor was accurate. The only reason I bought this watch over the others was because I needed an O2 sensor on my wrist that didn't cost over $300 because I had a suspicion that the blood oxygen in my fingers was lower than my true blood oxygen saturation because my hands and feet will freeze if it's so much as 66ᵒF. While using a pulse oximetry on my finger overnight it said my O2 dipped into the low 80s but with the watch it's always stayed in the mid to high 90s like it's supposed to. So unfortunately, especially since the price difference between an official wrist pulse oximetry band and this watch is $250+, I'm not entirely sold on the accuracy of the watch (though that might just be my slight anxiety and need for undeniable accuracy) and just have to trust the person who answered my question who said, "Not sure about the accuracy, only that is compares favorably with my former fingertip monitor." The other thing is the step counter. I can be walking, arms swinging by my sides and it won't count my steps (at all, not just inaccurately but _at all_) and I can be shaking a protein shake side to side, not even up and down, and it will count those as steps. Not sure how much could possibly be done to increase the accuracy of that but to say, I don't trust the step counter to be at all accurate, either. I would also love for it to have a night mode. I exist in night mode, literally every piece of technology I own is in night mode 24/7 so often the blue light of the watch feels harsh even though I keep the brightness at minimum. . Now, for all my complaints you're probably wondering why I still gave it 3 stars. I'm not actually sure, but of all the watches I've bought I just like how it feels to wear it. I like the bigger, slightly rectangular screen and it's literally the only watch that has the option to automatically take your blood O2. I like that you can swipe to the different screens and that the options on the left are... somewhat... customizable (can't put the timer I use literally all the time over there and instead have to scroll a ton just to get to the timer option) but it's nice to have a timer at all. So I guess to say that even though it's entirely too restrictive and inconvenient because you can't customize it for the things you actually want or need, it's nice that it has the options at all. It _is_ functional so it's not a complete failure as a smartwatch it's just... bare minimum care. ... show more

  • Looks stylish, comfortable, accurate reading, works pretty well
Item Shape: Square - Large Screen
For the most part, I will say this is a really stylish watch in terms of facing. It has a very similar look to the apple watch look wit the button being more in the center. That being said, the OS is not like the apple watch. This is a decent watch for the price you are paying. I actually enjoy having this for more of active wear and daily use. I do not have to worry about it getting scratched up or anything like apple watch. For the most part, this watch works pretty well with the readings and such. The watch does use a smartphone in order to sync the time and such so you do not have to worry about the time needing updating. It can also give you notifications from your phone although I have not been able to respond with the watch which is fine. I tried it with both apple and android and the messages do show up so you are able to receive notification from both operating systems. The band is pretty solid. It does still feel a little cheap but I do not expect it to be high end quality. It does fit pretty comfortably on my wrist although it does attract a good amount of dust. In order to make sure the heart reading was accurate, I tested this product against a fitbit heart rate monitor. It utilizes the same technology to read pulse and heart beat. The watch reading was pretty accurate from what I can tell. It did not differ from the fitbit heart rate which is great. The sensor is pretty good but I would recommend wiping it down every so often. So the battery I would say needs to be charged every other day for me. That is because I do get a bunch of messages and I like to utilize my watch more frequently. It is not too hard to charge and takes a few hours to charge to full. Normally one overnight should be more than enough to charge it. The down side is the charger is a magnetic base and that can be a bit hard to replace in the future if you happen to need to get a replacement charger. The screen is not too easily to scratch up so I would not be too worried. The touch screen is pretty responsive which is nice. It does has the basic features I need which is to track my steps and heart rate. The app itself works relatively well and is pretty straight forward to use. It gives me my daily information. The application is required to setup. The application does not crash like many other applications do and is fairly UI friendly. It does take some time to get used to. Again the band is not bad but it does feel cheap. It is a simple silicone band and it can sometimes chafe the skin and feel bit slipper if you sweat. Overall this is a decent smartwatch to have if you are on a budget. I actually like this for how it looks and I do not care too much if it gets scratched up. It is waterproof but I have yet to go swimming with it. The battery does last a pretty long time. The reading for the pulse and heartbeat is pretty accurate. The watch has a nice look to it. The only thing is that the charging base may be hard to replace in the future if it happens to break. ... show more
