I bough this for my mom. I liked the color and style, which was reminiscent of a purse/bag and not a lunch pail. It has a nice amount of space for her lunch. Unfortunately, the zipper broke within 2 weeks of purchase.

    • Getting a handle on handles

Lately a lot of tote bags and backpacks I've been considering get passed on due to the handles or straps. There needs to be more thought put into this aspect of the piece because it's the part that's either on your body - chest and back, or in your hands. If the handles or straps look like seatbelts or straps on reusable grocery bags, are cheaply designed, uneven - such as one strap one one side, two on the other so it can be converted, or so wide they dig into your shoulders, they won't work for me. I first saw Fit and Fresh items in Home Goods, are they sold in a regular store? These totes are made by women for women, so they have a solid branding. Back to the handles. They are made of a rough fabric that's wrapped around a stiff tubular piece of plastic...? They are rather hard and slippery feeling like the bag could easily go flying if you get enough speed going. And the bottom is light, so it won't work for subway platform or car floors, it's got to be dark. And for me, it looks a bit too much like a purse. So excited. I just received my new Fit&Fresh lunch tote. A few months ago, I purchased a cooler, and I couldn’t be happier with my newest purchase. The finish match to the cooler is perfection. It has sort of a washed grey wool visual, while being wipeable with an anti-microbial finish. The bag is the perfect size for a day out, a lunch bag, or a nursing mom milk bag. It looks extremely professional. No one would ever guess that it is a lunch bag. The insulated liner inside is completely washable. It has a zipper on the top of the bag to keep everything inside cool. There is a handy removable/adjustable shoulder strap. The padded cord handles are grommeted to the bag to take the load of heavy cargo, as well as adding to that cool modern look. There are (2) flanged pockets on the front for drinks. Inside, there is a bonus of a large salad container with sections for toppings and dressing. I can’t wait to bring this to the beach next week. ... show more

I used the bag less than 1 month and the zipper tag pulled right off the end rendering the bag useless. I am very disappointed as I thought it was great until this happened.
