I USE THEM TO CUT NOTCHES IN THICK CLOTH SO I CAN WRAP IT AROUND WOOD FOR UPHOSTERING. THEY WORK NICE FOR THAT. PS I DO NOT CUT OVER 1/2 INCH SO DO NOT CONFUSE WHAT I SAID WITH YOU TRYING TO CUT HEAVY CLOTH ALL THE WAY ACROSS A FOOT OR TWO. I DO NOT KNOW ABOUT THAT.
