According to my son these are a very necessary tool for every fisherman. He has been very happy with these long nose pliers and has found them to be invaluable. He does appreciate the coiled lanyard that was included. He was able to attach the pliers to his fishing bag so they are easily accessible when needed. He reports that the pliers feel good in his hand and are very easy to use, especially when he has only 1 hand avaialable. Overall, he gives these a 5 out of 5 and highly recommends them for the beginner as well as the experienced fisherman.

These multi use pliers have become an essential part of my tool selection. The pliers feature scissors strong enough for braid, hook remover, crimper, split ring section, lanyard hole and curved jaws for easy use. The handle is ergonomically designed for a firm grip and the spring has enough tension to return the mouth open and ready for the next use, but there also is a lock feature. The pliers come with a quick release lanyard that keeps them by your side or close. The pliers are made of stainless steel. Two pack contains a black handle version and a blue handle version. The pliers are 6.5 inches.

Quality reflects the low price point. This design features grips that are far too small for a man’s hands, and construction fit is poor with blades that don’t align properly for a clean cut. The handles have textured plastic grips, but these pliers tend to jump out of your hand (maybe it’s the size causing the problem). The colors are dull. Cutting edges are an integral part of the jaws so they cannot be removed for sharpening or replacement. Recommend these for smaller hands. Perhaps ideal for a child’s just learning to fish.
