This style net is sooo.. much better than the old nylon nets, there is no problems with hooks getting tangled. I've got a small boat (16ft star craft) and I appreciate being able to save space, but it's just a little short for me. Probably perfect for a john boat etc. or landing your own fish.

I bought this to catch a feral cat who would let me feed him but not get close enough to touch him. He took up residence under a shipping container. Trapping him wasn't an option since I have five other cats who would interfere. He stayed thin after many weeks so I needed to apply a topical flea/tick/worm killer on him. When he was within six feet or so, I put the net over him. He jumped around but the rubber net was strong as I held the pole to the ground. I was then able to clamp down on his neck without fear because the net is quite thick. The net has holes large enough for me to expose the back of his neck where I applied the topical. That was two weeks ago. He seems less afraid of me now since I caught him and let him go. I can almost boop/touch his nose as he looks out from under the container. ... show more

Reasonably well made net but heavy. I like the nylon nets better... they are much lighter and probably more durable. I will not be buying one of these again. I may go ahead and replace the net with: "Dovesun Fishing Net Fish Landing Net Foldable Fishing Replacement Net".

Seems to come coated in some sort of oil residue that really stinks. Even after having left it in the garage to air off for a week it still stinks a lot. Other than that it came not broken and it works like a net should. Update 8/3/23: Still stinks horrendously. I use it while kayaking and keep it on the front of the yak and sometimes I’ll get a whiff of the foul stench, it’s borderline nauseating at times. ... show more
