Ok, first things first - trust your instincts. I was reading articles and reviews, trying to find the perfect simple bassinet for weeks. I had a feeling I wanted this one but some of the reviews made me questions myself. Needless to say, those people must all be nuts, lol. One girl talked about how much it rocks. The way she described it, I had visions on my baby swinging like a monkey on a vine right out the window. Absurd. It rocks/swings the perfect amount. Perfect for the baby to rock herself, perfect for the parent to give her a bit of movement. Very sturdy and stable. Another girl talked about how she couldn't feel the vibration at all but then mentioned how it was as loud as a Mac truck. Again, absurd. The vibration is perfect, after all, it's for a BABY. Of course it doesn't vibrate like an adult armchair and why would you want it to... and the noise is whisper quiet, this coming from someone with hyperacusis. Another girl talked about how the lights were brighter than the sun. Again... absurd. The lights are subtly and warm, stars look great on the ceiling, barely noticeable with any natural light. She clearly didn't learn how to work the dimmer. Wrapping up, a reminder - trust your instincts. Other people's reviews are helpful but not necessarily accurate. It is by no means the fanciest or smartest bassinet out there but it shines in it’s simplicity. We caved in and got this as a last resort before buying one of the $300 or more smart bassinets. We refuse to co-sleep and after our baby got a bad cold, even after feeling better, would scream bloody murder if he was laid down. We were at the point where it was a vicious cycle of holding him calm and swaddled and out cold and lay him down and he would wake up within 10-20 min screaming until I ended up sitting awake holding him for him to get a decent stretch of sleep. We’ve only needed to try the white noise and vibration so far because that combination helps him stay asleep after we lay him down and he’s good once the timer turns it off because he’s deep enough asleep. I don’t know if the self rocking feature helps at all but it doesn’t hurt. For the cost I highly recommend giving this a try before going the super expensive route. ... show more

Cute and functional. But it’s super short. I had a c-section, and it was painful to lower my baby into this. (It would be uncomfortable for literally anyone to have to bend that low so often) Also starting having back issues. It’s about the height of the box spring part of my mattress. It was comfortable for my baby once I added a mattress protector…the mattress it comes with is kinda thin. The thingy that vibrates, plays songs, and has a nightlight is awesome. It can be clipped onto the side of a standard crib…I have it attached to my changing table for a light for nighttime diaper changes and it’s perfect for that. I used the bassinet for 3 weeks and had to switch to using a crib. I got a great diaper changing table nightlight for $120! ... show more
