I originally updated my review after experiencing a serious steering failure on this ride-on toy. Since then, the seller has been very responsive, professional, and genuinely concerned about the issue. I appreciate how quickly they reached out and their willingness to help resolve the situation. I still feel it's important to share what happened. We had only used the car about five times, exclusively on flat neighborhood streets and sidewalks, when the steering control arm detached during normal use. Thankfully, my child was not injured, but it was a frightening failure that could have resulted in a much more serious accident. While the seller's customer service has been excellent, I also believe other parents should be aware of the potential safety issue we experienced. I'm hopeful this was an isolated manufacturing defect, but I wanted my review to accurately reflect both the product issue and the positive customer support we received. ... show more

I bought this ride on car for my son’s birthday, and he was so excited the moment he saw it. The Dodge Charger design looks great, and the LED lights, Bluetooth, and hood mounted supercharger give it a realistic appearance. It has enough space for two younger kids to ride together, and the remote control is a helpful feature when they’re still learning to drive. The ride is smooth on pavement and short grass, and the battery lasts long enough for a good play session. The only reason I’m giving it four stars is that assembly took longer than I expected, and a few of the instructions could have been clearer. This review is for First Ride On 2 Seater Ride on Car for Kids, Licensed 1970 Dodge Charger R/T Kids Electric Vehicles w/Iconic Hood-Mounted Supercharger, 24V Ride on Toys w/Remote Control, LED Lights, Bluetooth (Pink) What a fun car! Grandpas need toys like this around to give the kids yet another reason to visit! It is surprisingly realistic and 5mph is just about the perfect speed for our little visitors. The remote is cool but so far we haven't needed to save them from themselves - they quickly develop the necessary skills to control the vehicle. But once in a while we use it to screw with them a little bit... heh! Installation takes a bit but it's not difficult. Probably do it after the kids are in bed or whatever, lots of little parts that you don't need walking away when you are assembling. Find a place where you can really spread stuff out and not get interrupted and NO CARPET to lose little parts. When assembling we checked all of the pre-assembled items for tightness, etc. and we used locktite (blue) on everything as we were putting it together. Anything that moves, steers, bumps, wiggles, etc. needs locktite to ensure that some control arm or whatever doesn't come loose when driving. But at 5 mph, injuries are extremely unlikely and this vehicle is built pretty solid in my experience. Battery lasts plenty long enough for two kids to take turns and it's good to have a limiter or they'd be on that thing all day long! The girls love that it's pink and the guy's love that it's a car with a real motor. At least that's the experience at my place. This is a really good quality car that a lot of thought and effort was put into. I'd extend my recommendation to other vehicles made by First Ride On because it's clear that they really take their product seriously and strive for high quality. Battery replacements, etc. should not be a problem as they've used a standard, readily available battery. ... show more

I bought this for the kids because they’re obsessed with muscle cars, and the Charger R/T design definitely caught their attention right away. It looks much more realistic than a typical ride-on car, and the two-seat setup is a nice bonus when they want to ride together. The little details are what make it fun. The lights, engine sounds, horn, dashboard controls, and especially the supercharger with the mist effect make it feel like a mini version of a real muscle car. The Bluetooth and USB features are also nice because the kids can listen to music while they’re riding. I appreciate the safety features too. The slow start and stop makes the acceleration feel less jerky, and having the parent remote with emergency stop and steering assistance gives me more control when a younger child is driving. The 3-point harnesses and lockable doors are another reassuring touch. The 24V system gives it enough power for normal driveway and backyard riding without making it feel overly fast. The two seats are roomy, although I’d still check the size and weight limits carefully if you have older or bigger kids. So far, this feels like one of those ride-on toys that the kids will actually keep coming back to rather than losing interest in after a few days.
