This one was a replacement that just plain wore out after Years of use. Excellent products by FIRMAN. Just don't forget to set it up according to instructions to try to start it the first time. Need to make the battery connection inside the side panel! Usually starts on the first pull. Great for whole house back-up out here in the middle of nowhere. I hooked it up to the breaker box - WITH the safety disconnect - and have powered up the entire house, lights, appliances and well pump during power outages! Use it for 5th wheel, around the hunting lodge and even in the woods for elevated hunting blind construction!

I’ve owned a couple of portable generators but this is the first inverter generator. I have to say I’m really impressed so far. I have about 10 hrs on it since buying about a month ago and it’s been great and pretty quiet. Runs everything in my 21ft RV with no trouble, which includes a 13,500 BTU air conditioner. It’s not the lightest generator but the wheels and handle make moving it around really easy. Picking it up, however; is a different story. Also, with just 1.8 gals of fuel it isn’t going to run very long with a full load but that’s the trade-off when you get a “portable” generator. Overall though I’d say this is a fantastic product for the money and performs as expected.

Ordered 2 - thought they tied to 220 volt - my bad - should have done my research better there is nobody that has a true duel generator to 220..... but these are nice generators - charge the batteries and they start easy..... only complaint is one of them came with that typical clanking noise in the pull starter case.... not bad just irritating so I kept it. I like the form factor - and plenty of plugs - I do recommend.....

When I first pulled it out of the box I put in mid grade gas into it, didn't run very well, always use premium gas. I also live above 7000 ft so that might also play into the fuel issue. I emailed Firman and they sent a high altitude kit free of charge. I have yet to install it as I received it after the season. I will install it when I have time and test it out again. Worked great at 8200 Ft pulling 50 Amps in my RV.

I bought the item mid November, 2021. It is 6 months old at the time of this review. It now runs only because a local mechanic has worked it twice to bring it back to life. My first complaint to Firman after only owning it for two months was that it ran for no more than 30 minutes and then died. I called tech support. I was immediately accused of not doing a 250 hour valve seating. I checked MY MODEL's manual and it says nothing about that need. Subsequent phone techs agreed. They now keep telling me because I live off grid it automatically means the generator is my primary source of power which voids my warranty. It is NOT my primary source, solar is. In other words, if I own the generator for more than looking at it as an ornament, the warranty is void. They cannot find any shop in a radius of 50 miles from me (or 100's of miles more) to work on the engine as a warranty job, but they will not let me have someone work on it, pay the shop, and get an expense refund from Firman. I had untill January 31 to return the item, but they refused to honor that agreement also. If you are serious about buying a generator from a company who stands behind their product, then you seriously need to avoid Firman. Obviously, if Firman decides they have treated me with sub-standard customer service and rectifies the situation, I will update this review, otherwise it stands. Now, after owning it for only 6 months, the battery is toast.

Living at 8300 ft posed a problem for this generator. Firman affirmed that it needed an adjustment to run at our altitude and set us a high altitude fuel jet. My husband was unable to remove the original jet. We ended up paying a small engine repair location to remove and then install the new jet. This will pose a real problem when we decided to pull our trailer to sea level. Not being able to adjust for altitude on the go might cause us to return this generator despite thinking we had chosen the perfect one for our neeeds.

Used it for about 60 hours so far. Performed perfectly. Easy to start. We use it for emergency power outages. Some have been short (8-10 hours), others have been 2 days. Performed just as promised. Ran 2 refrigerators, computers, TV, lights, and coffee maker. Even a small blow-drier. Noise level is acceptable. I'd compare it to a home-sized A/C unit. Only minor complaint - email to support went unanswered. I figured it out anyway, but would have appreciated a response.
