Amazon delivered it on time and with out a scratch. I had it up and running within 30 min. Started great on propane. It is a lot bigger than I was thinking. Very heavy. And very very loud. It was running @ 76 db. on the grass. I put a small load on it. and it seems to work great. I will be connecting it to the new house panel soon, then test the real load. You need ear plugs when close to it. So far happy. I wish it had a Amp meter or a Watt meter, There is no way of telling if you are getting close to it's limit? ... show more

I like that it mostly works great. It runs on gasoline much better than on propane. With propane it inexplicably dies periodically even when there is plenty of propane left in a tank. No problems like that with gasoline. Easy to start and it runs our well which is a big deal to us.

Upon arrival and testing, the generator fuel line had a small leak due to a tiny hole in the hose. Called Firman and they had a replacement to me overnight. The generator works great. The real test comes with the next power outage but I'm confident that it will perform to expectations.

We are in N. California and power outages will become the new norm. Unit was delivered and I had the wheels on, oil in and ready to go in about 20 mins. I chose the dual fuel unit so it could be hooked up to my main (200 gal) propane tank and not have to worry about gasoline storage or running out for it. It started up on the second try and was smooth sailing after that. Not as loud as my neighbors, but will install it in a permanent location that will not be too disturbing.     • Very bad Customer service
I bought this generator end of 2019 . Never had to use it for emergency but I run it every 3 weeks for maintenance . The last 2 runs it works only on the choke . I called the Customer service recently left a message ,call not return. 3 days later I called again and reached someone in the department. I was told that the gasoline staying in the tank can left debris in the carburetor. Within a few hours He emailed me a fact sheet with photo to dismantle and clean the carburetor .The first pic shows a fuel shutoff valve which DOES not exist on this unit ? This means Firman save money by not having a valve , customer get in recurrent problems and the they tell you our 3 years warranty is only one year service +2 years parts ...you are on your own . Unacceptable, I shall never buy a Firman again ...I suggest you do just the same ... show more

I have used it through a couple power outages, via a manual whole house transfer (DD panel lockout). I only use propane and had a dedicated low pressure outlet installed (fed from 500 gallon tank). No issues. I am happy with the price, quality and reliability of this unit.
