This works as intended and has held up fine so far. It is probably best for splitting smaller logs into kindling. Medium to bigger sized logs won’t fit into it. So if your idea is to split regular sized logs in half, this is probably not big enough. Just keep that in mind. You cannot put any firewood in this splitter… it has to be a size log that’s not too long in order to work decently otherwise expect to be slamming a full size sledge hammer down … which at that point might as well be slamming a splitter or hatchet ax down versus this ad of a little boy doing it with ease ... show more

Life become so much easier with this log splitter. It is light, you can carry and put it anywhere if you need. You can use both sides for splitting your logs. To keep it extra stable,I mount it to the stump( screws are provided and holes are on both sides of this splitter) and that way it is high enough for me to not bend too much.     • Great for kindling splitting
This thing is awesome for kindling. I split my wood outside but when I bring it in, I always struggled with a hatchet to break down some of the split pieces into kindling to light easier. This thing makes it a breeze. I have it set up in my garage with a little four pound sledge hammer and it shreds. Makes quick work of splitting and it stands steady just on a garage floor. I am not sure if I will ever mount it because its just heavy enough to sit on any flat surface. If you burn wood regularly at all, I would recommend one of these. ... show more
