Description

Ride-Rite air helper springs mount between the frame and the suspension of light-trucks, vans, and motorhomes. The heavy-duty convoluted air springs will handle all leveling needs with load carrying capacities between 3,200-5,000 pounds per set. Ride-Rite air helper springs will level the vehicle front-to- rear and side-to-side, stabilize the vehicle while loaded, maximize vehicles load carrying capacity and features adjustability 5-100 Pascal per square inch. Each kit is weighed to ensure component count and each air spring is pressure tested before leaving the factory. Over 1 million cycle life test. It is ISO certified. Can be used on pick-Ups, class A,B,C motorhomes, vans, commercial vehicles and SUV's. The Kit includes air springs, air line, fasteners, upper and lower brackets, inflation valves, push-to-connect air fittings and detailed instructions.

My 2007 Ram 1500 4X4 is a great truck, but was a little weak on the rear suspension with much of a load. I've been wanting to beef it up and don't know why I waited so long. These Ride Rite air bags are fantastic. I really can't express how easy they were to install. They are literally made for this truck. I used my floor jack on the hitch to raise the rear end about 2 inches, unbolted the factory overload stops, and these things just went right in. I didn't even remove the rear wheels. The clamp bolts have long threads which took a lot of wrenching, but everything went right in easily. Absolutely no drilling. Connecting the air lines was SO simple as well. Cut the air line to length and push into the fittings. Done. No leaks. Everything you need is well thought out and provided - and good quality stuff. The only thing not provided, and isn't necessary, is a tee, which can allow easy one-valve filling of both bags. I may add this some time, but it's not a big deal. My truck can now tow our camper without the slightest squat, and it handles a lot better as well. Even without a load at 7 PSI in them, it seems to feel better on rough roads. If hour in the market for a air bag system this is the one...everything you need to install is I. This kit...I bought a 1/4" T so I only have one hole it drill in my bumper!!! Great product

    • Absolutely worth it!
I ordered this kit for my 2006 Ram 1500. Install only took about two hours, some of which was spent fiddling with my tools and the weathered bolts on my truck. Some pre set up could save quite a bit of time. Install was easy and fairly uncomplicated. Parts for right where they should. The only drawback i will mention was the heat shield on the passenger side was too difficult to mount as it was cut just a little bit off and blocked the mounting bolt installation to the frame. No big deal though, a small spot weld took care of that. Some jb weld would work as well. You just have to play with the fit. The ride is noticeably better! Especially under load. I pull a 30' travel trailer and the air bags make a world of difference! Totally worth it for a more secure ride. ... show more

Very pleased with final outcome. After reading reviews before purchase, I sprayed down the bump stop bolts several times before trying to remove, came out perfect. Only issue was having to make small modifications to the passenger side heat shield to get it to sit between the bag and exhaust pipe.

Fairly easy to install. It took me about 3 hours, but I don't have air tools, and I'm not a mechanic. Didn't need to jack up my 06 Ram 1500 for installation. Also, didn't need to keep the bags depressed to install. One small issue: the brass push connect fittings are easy to use, but part of the instructions say to cut a 6" piece and attach the air chuck to the other end to keep the bags depressed for install. Turns out those brass fittings are super hard to release when they are up inside the guts of the truck. Save yourself the time and don't put the small pieces on the airbag. Also, the instructions aren't the most helpful. I found a YouTube video that helped a lot. But even that doesn't really spell it out that much. 1. Bolt right up good quality material. Didn’t take long to install. Doesn’t take much psi to add the lift you need while towing. My truck was bottoming out pulling pumps and they are Tongue heavy due to how they are made for pumping and 7,000 lbs total wait and with about 30psi in each truck sits level. Installed on 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 single cab. Did not need to take off the wheels, did not need to compress the bag just jack up the back and everything fell into place. The bolts are long to accommodate lift kits so it takes some wrenching to get them tight. I was impressed that all dimensions of the mounting brackets were perfect. Installation time of the bags is probably 1.5 hours, installation of the tubing another hour. ... show more

I paid for a mechanic to install these, so I can't speak to ease of installation for me, but he said it was simple. They really even out my truck while towing now. I use it commercially to tow sod, mulch, rock, block, etc. And these hold up 100%. Feels like riding on air now and no squatted truck bed. I am very pleased. ... show more
