I’m liking this for important papers storage, and I hope it’s actually as fire-proof as it’s supposed to be. But its portability would be handy even in an evacuation-type situation. It has a lightweight combination lock, but I would not say it’s suitable as anti-theft storage if that’s what you’re trying to accomplish.

The combination, after being reset, only worked once, then stopped working. In addition, it would be easy to clip the zipper tabs, which is how it locks, and break into the box. The zipper seems extremely vulnerable as well — easy to pry open. I returned it. The card that comes with the box says, “Contact us first. We can help.” But there’s absolutely NO contact info! 🙄

The media could not be loaded. After two weeks of using this fireproof document box, I’m very happy with the purchase. I wanted something to securely store important items like passports, certificates, and spare cards—and this definitely delivers. The build quality is impressive. The hard shell feels sturdy and the fireproof materials seem reliable. While I haven’t (thankfully) tested it in a fire, the rating gives me peace of mind. The internal storage is thoughtfully designed. It has more compartments than I expected—card slots, mesh pockets, pen holders, and even USB pockets—so everything stays neat and easy to find. The accordion-style folders are perfect for organizing documents. The zippers are very smooth. I also like the tamper-proof combination lock, which adds a solid extra layer of security without the need for keys. The box is lightweight enough to move easily, but feels durable and well-constructed. Overall, this is a practical and well-designed solution for protecting valuable items at home.
