  • Great guitar for the price.
Color: Purple
Very nice guitar. Took a chance on the color, hoping it was not as pink looking as the online photos. Was very happy to find it was a darker purple. Very nice neck and fret work, better than my Epiphone and Jackson guitars. Looks great, plays great, sounds great. This is my fourth Firefly guitar and all have exceeded my expectations. ... show more

  • This Guitar is a Sleeper!
Color: Purple
The guitar is beautiful and I'm extremely surprised by how high quality it is. I'll cover some things I things that will make or break for most buyers. - Frets are smooth - No neck dive - Excellent high fret access - Not very heavy - Neck is quite thick. I like it but may not be for everyone. - Holds its tuning very well - Finish is good. I haven't found flaws with mine - Comfortable sitting while playing, even more comfortable standing. - Pickups are acceptable. Are they going to be as clear as Fishman Fluence? No, but they are not muddy. They are a slight bit noisy if you're near a PC, but do not click and pop. - Intonation was spot on with the stock strings - Extremely low action I'm really loving this guitar. I would have easily guessed that it sat around the $1000 range. I was jamming along to some old Avenged Sevenfold songs as soon as I got it tuned. I primarily play a Schecter Reaper-6 FR S Elite and Strandburg Boden Original 8, guitars that are much more expensive than this guitar. The Firefly FFLX definitely holds its own. It's a ton of fun to play. They only thing that feels cheaper about it is the neck. It's not a bad neck by no means, but you can tell it's a softer wood than my Schecter or Strandburg. My best guess, trying to estimate with a ruler, is that the neck looks to be around 23mm thick, compared to my Schecter's thin neck with I'm estimating to be around 18mm thick. It's not offensive at all and I find it quite comfortable. The body is not as large as I had figured it would be. Compared to a strat-style guitar it's narrower towards to middle with the horns of it only going a few inches out further than a strat-style guitar would. The guitar is great as-is. It would be good for a beginner or someone more experienced. It would also be a fun guitar to mod. I sent friends some audio clips of me playing the guitar and they all thought it sounded great. The guitar punches above its weight and I'm highly satisfied with it. Don't write it off due to its low cost. ... show more

  • Great guitar!
Color: Black
I wanted the spalted maple FFLX butI missed out by 1 day so, I ordered this black Firefly FFLX Elite (set neck) & it turned out to be a great guitar! The pickups scream yet clean up when rolled back, it intonated easily. The finish is good. Has a great neck & plays great! Has no problem with harmonics! . It has held up to all my shredding! ... show more

  • Don’t even sweat the price, definitely a good value!
Color: Cream
I’m a believer now, I bought the FFLX and without trying to be a guitar snob, for $200.00 this is a no brainer pick, it was set up good right out of the box, very low action, no buzz just some initial string stretching and a couple re-tunes on the strings it stays in tune and plays very slick, pickups of course aren’t extraordinary but you don’t expect that. They are just fine and fit and finish on mine was nice, no scratches or chips or botched binding work. ... show more

  • Feel Like I Stumbled On A Secret! 🤫
Color: Gloss Cream
This guitar is absolutely amazing for the price. First off, it looks really cool. And yeah, the aesthetic design is obviously a knock-off of a certain rock legends signature ESP, but as he would say, “So #%^*£% What!” The playability and sound is what really shocked me. I figured that given the price and it being shipped, I would have to put a ton of time doing a full setup. I was wrong! The action, intonation and overall tone is really amazing. I have instruments 2-3 times the price that don’t stay in tune as well as this one. Obviously your experience might be different, but for me, absolutely stunned at the overall quality and value! ... show more

  • What's not to love
Color: Dark Purple
Bought this about a month after my American made Strat, and do not regret it at all. I'm not going to claim it's better than the Strat. but I play it far more than I play my former go-to. Factory setup was nearly spot on. Action was set to a perfect for balance between playability and avoiding fret buzz (ymmv), frets were even and well finished with no sharp edges with a binding the full length of the finger board to prevent fret sprout, and intonation was nearly dead on, being just slightly flat on the low E and the a strings. All I had to do was restring, tune up, and play. Tuning hardware is solid and stays in tune. The gold hardware combined with the dark purple burst is also very easy on the eyes. I was concerned that I'd get a poorly built guitar in need of a ton of setup and tweaks. What I got has a build quality equal to my Strat with better setup from the factory than the Strat got from the music store that sold it. ... show more

  • Worth every penny
Color: Gloss Cream
These guitars are great for the price for sure. Out of the box it was playable and the ball end frets meant smooth up and down the neck. There were no issues with the neck/body and the action was surprisingly low without buzzing. There was a minor (so minor I hate to mention it) blemish at the nut on the neck, which really looked like a little heavy on the finish. The bridge needs the saddles to be filed and the parts are relatively inexpensive though they look good. Sounds decent on a good amp (this one definitely has a more metal sound). There is nothing to complain about for $220 and at this price it has no right to be this good of a guitar. ... show more

  • Just do it !!!!
Color: Dark Purple
Plays and sounds killer ! Some cosmetic issues with the clearcoat and binding, but I expected some of that going in ! Didn’t need to, but after a couple weeks I said why not and changed out the stock pick ups to active EMG’s ! This thing is a beast ! Locking tuners and it’s done ! If you’re on the fence, just do it, frigging killer ! Number6 Firefly for me, all killer ! ... show more
