Many people make the mistake of thinking "affordable" guitars and "cheap" guitars are the same thing. They're not. Case in point, Firefly Guitars, which can now be purchased on Amazon with limited model selection, and also on the Guitars Garden website (guitarsgarden.com), are a finely crafted, budget friendy guitar that is popular with many ranges of guitar players. From beginning players, to those returning to guitar after years away, to intermediate players, church worship leaders, players in "local" gigging bands, to well known touring/recording artists like the Deftones' guitarist Chino Moreno and Carmelo Medina, known for his playing with the Venezuelan super-group, Guaco. I, however, fall into the category of a returning guitar player. Life happens, kids were born, work, responsibilities, priorities changed and I stopped playing, sold my guitars and gear and before I knew it. 20 years had passed, the kids were grown and on their own, I got divorced, and suddenly I had more time and an urge to pick up guitar playing again. I wanted to start slow, and not break the bank. Thanks to YouTube, I found reviews about these crazy affordable guitars that were selling in the $200 price range, but the quality, workmanship, and specs were on par with well known, name brand guitars selling in the $500-$800. I got curious. I bought one and was blown away. That was 5 years ago. I now own 14 Firefly guitars! My latest purchase is the beautiful Firefly FFDB in Cherry Sunburst and let me tell you, these guitars look BETTER "in person" than on the website. The pictures don't do these guitars justice, in my opinion. But these guitars don't just look good, they PLAY good! Now, some people buy these for the looks and then modify the electronics to make it the way the want it, but thats not necessary. If you're a begging player, a "bedroom" player, and even in a band these guitars will exceed all expectations! This guitar, if you choose the buy one will blow your mind the way it plays and sounds. The mini humbuckers have very unique tonal qualities almost like a single coil or p90. The guitar is, after all modeled after a Gibson Firebird and their Humbuckers are unique as well. So the guitar looks and sounds great. No complaints. Shipped the day I ordered and arrived the next morning! Amazon ROCKS! Let me warn you, your first purchase wont be your last! What are you waiting for. I'm exceedingly impressed and happy with this guitar. You will be too. As you can see, I did put gold volume/tone knobs on the guitar, but the stock one look great too. The neck has a scarf joint if you were wondering.

This is the first Firefly guitar that I have purchased. I got the White with triple pups. The finish is very good. I don't expect perfect finish on any budget guitar, no nicks or noticeable blemishes. The neck is 1.700 wide at nut and 2.114 at twelfth fret. It's 0.90 at nut 0.95 at twelfth fret. No fret nibs. The pups sound good. The pups wiring is odd for a triple pickup guitar. I'm gonna rewire to a vvvt and blend the mid pup. The pots are quiet with no scratchiness. The playability was quite nice outta the box. Tuners hold, nut is cut decently. Solid foundation for modding. Good guitar at a good price.

As a former owner of a 1964 reverse Firebird and a 1966 non-reverse Firebird, I feel I can judge this guitar very well. Firstly, the original reverse birds were special. They sounded fantastic, and had big chunky necks, so does this. The originals had lower headstock mounted tuning machines, which were too heavy and bulky. This has same mount lighter geared guitar tuners, a much better choice for neck dive control. This is a fine playing and looking guitar I’d easily work a club gig with. But, like a Les Paul style, your neck muscles will know you’ve worn it on a strap standing up quicker than a strat or tele. This is as close to the big G reverse firebirds for very reasonable price as you’ll ever find, best grab one while they’re here. I collect and own most of the firefly guitars theyve released and they’re all bargains but this is the most dramatic bang for the buck. Hey, if you think your ear merits, this wouod be a good mod core for expensive pickups, though these are dead silent and sound fine, except bridge a tad bright but you’ve got tone control to roll that off.

Absolutely stunning . For hanging on the wall. Not good for playing at all. Neck is way too thick. You need huge hands to play this guitar. The finish is stunning but playability is not there and honestly it really doesn’t sound that good at all . I played it through my PRS amp and through my Spark just sounded a weak out of the box. It looked amazing. Just did not perform not really interested in upgrading it because of the neck . 95% of the firefly Guitars play well They just missed on playability. But I will buy from them again.

No complaints great action. Mine came completely perfectly set up, the nut cut perfectly, string action, neck relief, all 100%. Solid feel, pickups aren’t noisy, nice rockish, and jazzy tones whatever you want. It’s not a metal guitar although you could manipulate it to play some heavy stuff highly recommend. It truly is a beautiful instrument.

Great guitar right out of the box, put some slinky’s 10’s on it, set intonation and adjust bridge and neck. It’s a player and gonna go into the starting rotation when giggin…like all hard core older guitarist, we all have a bevy of American made greatness, Gibson, Fender, etc etc Bought 2 more different colors at this price, I have about 670.00 in 3 guitars. Out of the Box it needs a little bit of work. Intonation minimum except for the low E. Once that was done, just a little bit of adjustment on the Pickup height. After that tuned up. Plays and Sounds amazing. Took a little bit to get used to the Mini HB sound! They are not full size HB's nor P90"s, they have a Tone quality of their own! Amazing Sounding and Great Playing Guitar for the Price! 👍
