I've tried out different tablet cases and this is, by far, my favorite. It's bulky, but I like that because my whole reason in wanting the case was because the tablet is so thin and sleek that it was uncomfortable to hold and I was afraid it would slip out of my hands. The case is a nice design in that it leaves all of the screen and some of the area around the screen open, which is helpful when you're trying to drag down the settings menu or touch something at the very edge of the screen (whereas some other tablet cases have a lip that comes right up to the edge of the screen, making it hard to do those things). I liked the honeycomb design on the bag of the case, and the amount of "grip" it has via the texture on the sides and back. I also really like that it leaves a little open space down near the speakers and is constructed in such a way that the case helps amplify the sound, rather than muffling it. The case is a little difficult to get on; you've got to stretch the edges and maneuver the tablet into it. But, this is a good thing because it means the case is going to protect it well, won't slip off and look sloppy, etc. I have the white/silver tablet, so I was unsure what case color would look best. I started with the navy blue (which is really more of a cobalt blue). I really liked the color, but it stood out a lot against the white tablet and made my tablet look too much like a kid's tablet. I then bought the purple, which I thought would be a feminine color and complement the white of the tablet, but I just wasn't too impressed with the shade of purple (it's closer to a neon color than a dark purple or an indigo purple). Then, I got the black. I was afraid it would look stupid against the white tablet, but it actually looks the best of all three cases I tried. The color works because, although the edges of the tablet are white, the screen is black. I thought the black case looked the most "professional," and went with the tablet best. Yes, I realize this all probably sounds like a lot of nonsense to some of you. "It's just a case to protect the tablet. Who cares what color it is? Sheesh!" But for those who are like me and get hung up on stuff like this, I figured I'd share my thoughts and experiences. ... show more

I purchased this case with the intention of making my device easier to grip. Upon receiving the item I promptly put my new tablet in it and it fit great! It was very snug and all of the cut outs for the device's ports were exact. My only recommendation is that this item not be purchased as means of "protecting" your device. Although shock proof along the corners and in some spots along the sides, the screen remains unprotected and the back of the case is not very thick. Waste of money. My daughter dropped her tablet on a carpeted floor and this case did nothing to protect it. The screen shattered. Also, after having it for 3 months it doesn't fit snuggly anymore and is very loose and floppy.

Fit the Samsung Galaxy 8.0 just fine. It has a good grip and cushions all around. It will add some weight to the already heavy tablet. I decided on getting a folio cover instead but if you want extra cushioning and grip without getting a multi layered case you may like this.

Does not fit properly. I have a Samsung Galaxy tab a 8.4. I bought an 8.4 case it was to large so I ordered the 8" case and it fits horizontal but to long vertically. If it did fit the quality would be great!
