I LOVE it. It has a medium to hard exterior. It's hard but flexible so it's not entirely a brick. Which others may not like but I love it. It doesn't have padding inside but has secured elastic and a fabric interior. It don't believe it is water right but it would protect from some splashes I assume. I got the space nebula Switch Case earlier this year and now they match. Space is my aesthetic and I'm so happy to ha e found this. I needed a safer thing to store my apple pencil when I'm not charging it. And because of the silicone grips I can't just put it on my iPad. But this case has some good room. More narrow than I expected but it works! I put my apple pencil, the silicone grips, and two pens inside. And it fits inside my bag easily. Or I out it on the mesh holder of my backpack for classes or going to work. The only suggestion I have is adding a wrist strap. Or a loop or D ring where we could attach one. Because it's so small I am afraid to drop it. Or if I'm traveling with JUST my iPad and not my bag, then I'd like a strap to put my hand through. The case is well made for storing Apple Pencil or any item when a slender case is the best place. As I hope the photos show, there’s plenty of room for the Apple Pencil & more. I take it when traveling to not only keep the pencil secure, but carry the charging cable & other items handy in this case. There’s also a nib protector on the pencil which speaks to the room available in this slender case. It keeps my pencil clean, protected with everything needed all together while it’s not being used,I like knowing everything is in one place at home or when on the go. Great case, oh yeah the zipper works great, the small mesh storage keeps extras corralled, my pencil is held by an elastic bands with enough room for other pens,stylus or whatever you might want to carry. This is so pretty and doesn't have the actual pen fitted "form" inside so it'll fit any pen/pencil type item. Some others I saw marketed to the Ipencil had a fitted form inside. This does have little elastic pen loops though. Nice little pockets inside. It fits my The Kind Pen slim vape plus 2 disposable auto draw vapes and The Kind Pens charger all with a bit of room to spare so its really nice for mutliple uses. My only fear is that I have a Kindle cover made from similar printed material and the pattern is already wearing off of the corners after 4 months so I fear that issue with this item but a solid colored 1 may avoid that. I like that I am able to keep the spare pen for my MS Surface, my Samsung Galaxy Note, and the batteries for my Surface Pen all together and protected in my case. This is slim enough that it tucks into my small laptop bag next to the charger and trackball mouse without a problem.
