This is the smoothest finish I've ever had on an eyeglass case. Which introduced me to a minor negative feature in a product like this -- it's so smooth, it's almost slippery. Not quite bar-of-soap territory, but more slippery than you might want for an item you go to grasp with one hand. I would have preferred (and paid a bit more for) a fabric texture. The other minor negative feature is that this case snaps closed like a snapping turtle. Not sure why they designed it this way; the other snap-close eyeglass cases I have are not nearly this forceful. Holy slam slam, Batman. However, the price point is good on this product. And there are several attractive designs to choose from. These criteria will work for most people.

It's hard shell will definitely protect your glasses, however, be careful that your fingers don't get caught when it closes .. Ouch .. it could be a weapon .. Overall: great product!
