I inherited my Mom's 1st gen Kindle Fire (2011) and the case was worn and peeling. I purchased the Fintie Folio Case in Shades of Blue which is absolutely lovely. It only rates 4 stars because the case does NOT put the Kindle into sleep mode like Mom's original case. This one is still a bit stiff, so perhaps after several uses, the cover may loosen up a bit, close better and put the thing to sleep. The case fits snug and is relatively easy to insert the tablet, biggest challenge is the loop fastener insert tab that makes it difficult to get the tablet in straight or adjust it if it needs a bit of sliding, wrangling to get the best fit. The case folds easily and fits snuggly into the insert on the back, allowing for use as a stand. This case is lightweight, yet feels sturdy. My concern is the faux leather part - that typically means peeling, cracking, etc. after a good bit of use. I like the stylus loop although I don't use one. Fit is spot-on as to the power button, earphone jack and charger port. Other extra holes and such don't really bother me but the same are unnecessary for this model. I love the color, pattern and texture the best. This is a very pretty and stylish case. Mom would be pleased. I know I am. ... show more
