Description

Fill-Rite NX25-DDCNB-AA is a bung mounted DC powered fuel transfer pump that comes with a discharge hose, automatic nozzle, power cable, battery clips, street elbow, and a roll of tape. It is designed for transferring diesel, gasoline, kerosene, ethanol blends up to 15%, and biodiesels up to B20. Each pump comes with a magnetic switch for smooth operation and easy replacement, along with a removable power cable. To reduce energy costs, the pump will automatically power down after 20 minutes of inactivity. The reduced vapor locak issues will keep it running in harsh summer temperatures and the lower amp draw will save battery/pump life.

I've bought 4 of these pumps now to replace aging GPI pumps on our service trucks and fuel trailer. When you put the Ultra High Flow Nozzle on the business end of the hose, these babies will flat move some fuel in a hurry. Be forewarned that you will need a piece of threaded 1 1/4" pipe (not included) to make the suction pipe from. I bought some 36" galvanized pre-threaded sticks from Lowes for around $20 each and then cut them to size as needed. Be sure to use some teflon tape on the threads of the suction pipe so that you don't lose prime there. These pumps are much lighter than their predecessors and their design is engineered-out the way you'd expect from Tuthill. This is the top of the line in fuel transfer and you'll be glad you spent the extra money each time you're doing the thankless task of refueling at the end of a long work day. This seems to be one of the highest performing dc pumps available. The reason I deducted 1 star is I wish they could get these pumps to put out a little more volume. I was torn in between the volume of a gas powered pump and the convenience of electric. A lot of people may not need more volume than this but for filling 300 to 400 gallon fuel tanks on 4wd tractors this pump is marginal. It takes about 12 minutes to go around the dirt rig and grease it and if you are almost out of fuel it will still be pumping when you’re done. It says 25 gpm as configured, but by the time it goes through my flow meter and filter it struggles to get 22 in case anyone was wondering like I was. You also will have to keep a pretty clean filter or it will reduce the flow to substantially less. If it would do 25 through the plumbing and filter I would have given it 5 stars. I still think this is probably the highest performing pump on the market right now. ... show more

This is the Fill-Rite pump kit to get for universal use. (gasoline, diesel, kerosene, bio-diesel and ethanol blends. Watch the ratings for the B20 and E15 as too much can damage the pump as it does small engines). It has almost everything you need. A generous length 18' x 1" hose and the nicer automatic 1" Nozzle. For the truck bed diesel tank I needed some extra parts to get it up and running. - 1-1/4 NPT coupling - 1-1/4 Male to 1-1/4 Male NPT 20" suctions pipe - Suction Screen. Recommend the Flow Ezy Filters F10 30 Suction Screen Size 30 Took about 45 minutes to get it setup and installed the way I wanted. Added: - 1200KTG9075 1" Cast Iron Filter Head x2 - F1810HMO Hydrosorb Filter - F4030PM0 30 Micron 40 GPM Filter - 2" long Female to Female 1" NPT Nipple x2 This setup gives good water and sediment filtration and only looses a little flow rate. I keep several spare filters on the truck for when they clog up. With this setup I get good performance. I recommend a dual battery vehicle system if you have that option. It won't drain a truck battery completely by using it for 20-30 mins at a time, but for longer run times you may want to have a failsafe backup battery. Pretty great rig. I think its the best out there by far. No cheap parts, all quality. The only minor thing I wish is for the diagnostic tones legend be a sticker put on the pump itself. I don't plan on carrying the manual around with it. I guess I can put it in the glove box. But really. A UV resistant reference chart sticker could be put on the pump so you can immediately know what the "intelligent sound tones" mean. No one should have to be looking around for a user manual or searching the internet for information that could be front and center.     • Fillrite Tuthill nx3204 pump and pickup pipes

The power to the pump is supplied by special cable costing $150. The cable is 3 wire pos neg ground the GROUND MUST BE ATTACHED FIRST OR IT WILL SCREW UP THE PUMP. When making a pickup tube out of 1 1/4 schedule 40 pipe you must use Gasoila FasSeal ATS to "seal" the pickup pipe to pump flange or it will not function, it leaks past threads and pump does not work. Tuthill recommends a 45 degree angle cut on bottom of pickup tube, this will cause the pump to start to loose suction at top of angle and start to shut down. Tuthill recommends cutting pickup tube 3 inches above bottom of tank for suction tube to end. I did that twice it cut off 25% of my usable volume in 100 gal rectangular tank. I then measured from the top of the pump flange after installing it into the tanks' bung, subtracted .5 inch and angled bottom of tube maybe 10% and got the full range of tanks volume, still this pump failed and had to be returned for no suction. Tuthill has discontinued this pump and says different things, if it works it is great when it starts to fail it is no good. I now have 3 custom made pickup tubes and a different pump.
