My kids are just at the age where when it snows, all they want to do is build a snowman. And I’m never prepared. We have to scrounge around for mismatching parts, hard to do when everything is covered in snow! This set is a great value, and provide all the basics you need. You may have to get creative with some parts, to get them to stay on (the hats in particular) but that’s part of the fun of building a snowman. I think sometimes we feel like we should just be able to open a box and get perfection all the time, and with some products we definitely should expect that. But with this, the perfection is getting to build memories with your kids, and this is just something to get you going. The materials are mostly felt, the hat being a little thicker. The “coal” and the nose are wooden, and the scarf is some type of soft fabric. It’s fairly nice for the price. I also like that the arms are bendable to a certain point, I think that’s a nice little added bonus. So, if you want great memories with the kiddos, and need a little help with accessories, I’d definitely suggest this kit!

Bring on the snow! This snowman kit is perfect for building a medium-sized (or smaller) snowman. My kit came with all 17 pieces; nothing was missing, and all the pieces are generously sized. All of the wooden "sticks" to anchor the pieces in the snow are a sufficient length, although the ones for the arms would be better if they were another inch or so longer. There is no way to anchor hats down on the snowman's head... so I guess it's a good thing that there are 2 hats in the kit, in case one blows away! But in all seriousness, you may just have to get creative to make sure they stay on. The description says the kit is reusable... I'm not really sure if they will hold up more than a season as advertised (I imagine they could get a little moldy or yucky and it's not like you can throw these pieces in the wash like you could with normal fabric), but it's currently decently priced enough where if the pieces last for one winter season, my kids and I will be happy. If you are looking for an affordable, good snowman kit, I do recommend considering this one.

I like how this set has everything you need to make a snowman. It's a grab and go set that is super cute and perfect for kids of all ages. It has enough items to make a complete snowman, with two hat options. I did take off a star because the red hat option is pretty flimsy and might be difficult to stand up on it's own. You might need pack it with something to get it to stand up properly. The green had is made with a different material that makes it feel more sturdy and likely hold it's shape better. I do wish the kit came with a carrying bag or some sort of water proof case to store everything in once finished since the cardboard box is not ideal and is hard to put everything back in. Otherwise, I think this is the perfect kit for a family to make a snowman. It has everything you need!

Rarely do I say I can’t wait for it to snow, but this 17pc snowman decorating kit makes me wish we had some to go out and make a snowman right now! The 17pc kit has everything you’ll need to make an awesome snowman. Everything included is as pictured from the listing. Love that there are two hats, tho the red one is a thin type and wouldn’t stand up unless you packed it with snow. The green one has more structure to it and would survive outside better once attached in my opinion. The smaller wooden pieces for the nose, eyes, mouth and buttons will be great for placing into the snowman with their long dowels. Lastly the scarf, pipe, and hands to round out the full snowman. I can’t speak to how they will hold up after use outside and whether this is a one time use, or if they will be usable to be used multiple times as is my hope, but they all feel sturdy. Overall, for the price this is a great set and is sure to add to the holiday spirit this year! Let it snow!

Here’s a middle-length version that keeps substance without getting wordy: --- ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Lovely item with one durability concern I’m really happy with this piece overall. The wood looks great and gives a rustic vibe, it feels sturdy, and the craftsmanship is nicer than I expected. It fits perfectly with the look I wanted. It's perfect for the small snowmen my young kids can make. The only thing I’m uncertain about is how well it will handle being outside in wet snow all winter. Since it’s made of wood, I’m a little worried about moisture affecting it over time. I may end up adding a protective sealant just for peace of mind. Aside from that concern, it’s a beautiful item and I’m glad I got it. It adds a lot of charm, and I’d recommend it.

Not a horrible price for the set but also not impressive. It's not for a large snowman as the hat was tight on my adult head. This is more of kid’s size than adults for both the scarf and hat. The scarf is 49 inches long, including fringe, not 53 as stated in the ad. Speaking of hat, it is made out of thick felt but I can’t not see it lasting more than a few season. Assuming the hat doesn’t fly away as it does not have anything to attached to the snow (the other pieces have sticks that go in the snow to hold it in place). The eyes, carrot, mouth, and buttons are made out of wood so I am assuming this not last too many seasons as they will turn moldy or rot from the cold weather. It will be fun for a few seasons, then I will not replace as the quality could be better.
