  • Finally I can keep track of my escape artist cat
Size: 6 Month
I’ve been thoroughly impressed with the Fi Mini GPS Tracker. As someone who values precision and reliable hardware, I was looking for a solution that didn't compromise on comfort for my cat while providing robust tracking capabilities. This device hits the mark on almost every front. The Build & Design The first thing I noticed is how incredibly lightweight it is. It doesn't weigh the collar down at all, which is critical for cats. The build quality feels solid and well-engineered, and I have had zero issues with the waterproof rating—it has held up perfectly during outdoor excursions, regardless of the weather. Technical Performance • Virtual Fences & Alerts: The geofencing is incredibly responsive. I get notified almost instantly if my cat wanders beyond the set boundaries. It provides a level of security that standard collars just can't offer. • GPS Accuracy: The signal acquisition is quick and consistent. Whether the cat is exploring the backyard or hiding nearby, the tracking map is accurate and easy to read. • Health & Activity Tracking: It’s a nice bonus to see the step counts and activity levels. It gives me a good baseline for her daily habits, which is a great proactive feature for overall pet health. Membership Value The inclusion of the 6-month membership is a significant value-add, making it much easier to get the system fully operational right out of the box without immediate extra costs. Final Verdict If you are looking for a reliable, non-intrusive way to keep tabs on your pet, the Fi Mini is a top-tier choice. It’s well-built, unobtrusive, and the software is intuitive. Highly recommended for any pet owner who wants that extra layer of security. ... show more

  • Poor positioning, false alarms and poor holder.
Size: 6 Month
Not happy at all, this tracker is very jumpy and inaccurate. Numerous times, I would get notifications that my cat was out of the safe zone, when actually he was in his safe zone and sleeping soundly. The location alerts and or positioning is all over the place, you can literally be within sight of your pet and the alarm will notify of a problem that isn’t an issue at all. The other issue I have is the band and sleeve for holding the unit in place, the band is better than the sleeve but not by much. Good luck if your tracker becomes detached from the sleeve or band, you’ll never find the unit because the positioning is so bad. It actually happens to me, tracker came out of band, luckily my cat was in sight, tracker is lost for good. I don’t recommend this unit, I hope to find something that I can trust. ... show more

  • Great little tracker but battery needs more capacity
Size: 6 Month
It does the job but battery life is a bit short. I had a Whistle tracker for my dog previously and its battery seemed to last forever. This one goes just a few days. Great at live tracking, though.

  • I bought this because it claimed to be better than an AirTag
Size: 6 Month
I bought this because it claimed to be better than an AirTag. That is used GPS. lol. This is worse than an AirTag, and at least the AirTag I can play sound to find the cat. This thing doesn't play sound, and is no way more accurate than an AirTag. It cuts out connection constantly and reports nothing for hours when my cat is in my backyard only 20 feet away from me. You may as well just go with the AirTag. Now these people have all of my sign up info for no reason on their shady servers and unsecured databases. The app keeps asking for permissions. Delete the app. Don't buy this. ... show more

  • Works great without a network, but cell subscription required
Size: 6 Month
Easily charged and holds charge for about 5 days. Charges completely in about half an hour. The main downside is the subscription cost to connect to the cell service. However, it does connect to the cell service and is live as opposed to retrieving the collar to see where he was hours ago. I would like to be able to ping the tracker easier to get immediate response on its location, but that really has to do with the cell service more than the collar itself. The better the cell service, the more responsive it is. I am happy to be able to know where my cat is without having to depend on other people having the same service in my area in order to locate the tracker. If you have cell service, you can find it anywhere. ... show more

  • Fi - Lacking Key Features Fi - Lacking Key Features
Size: 6 Month
So far I like this device and the app. Set-up was a breeze for both of my cats. I really don’t see any difference between the mini and mini for cats, so I purchased the standard mini with 6mos free Verizon subscription. After that I understand I pay essentially $200/year for live tracking. For 2 cats the total is $400 per year. Until now I’ve been using the Pebble Bee which is: smaller, lighter, longer battery, cheaper, subscription free, and includes the option to play an audible sound when a pet goes missing. Unfortunately, its battery rapidly looses charge after one year, and accurate location only works when within just feet of the device. Fi has a much better app and accurately captures a pets movements (sleeping vs moving). However, for the price it doesn’t incorporate the option to audibly ping your pet or offer a silent light signal to employ when finding a pet is critical. The manufacturer says this is on purpose, so owners don’t needlessly startle their pet. However, it seems this should be a feature owners can choose to use. Sounds can be used for teaching pets boundaries and/or determining their precise location in a desperate situation. Based on Fi’s weak reasoning, I wonder if I’m paying a premium now for “silent tracking” only to be upsold on a full-feature device in a future iteration. An even bigger concern is the inability to set my “safe zone” to my own property line. When trying to set boundaries that trigger silent text alerts to my phone, I’m limited to drawing a custom zone that’s four times larger than my single-family-home property. So assuming Fi tracking is spot on, it’s still very hard to find a cat hiding in a next-door neighbors hedge at night. At $200 per year, plus the cost of the device - additional accessibility features should be standard. I will keep giving Fi a trial run but I’m also looking into RF radio signal options like Tabcat which don’t require a subscription or cellular / WiFi connection. ... show more

  • Peace of Mind!
Size: 12 Month
I have FI for my two dogs. I was apprehensive getting it for my cat, but it's been working great. He's an indoor cat who keeps trying to run out of the house. I was afraid he'd get out and I'd never find him. He still hasn't gotten out (thank goodness!) but it brings me tremendous peace of mind. One day I thought he may have gotten out because I couldn't find him anywhere. FI let me know he was still in the house and sure enough eventually he came out of hiding. I'd say this is a no brainer particularly if you do have outdoor cats. ... show more

  • Very accurate!
Size: 12 Month
We have an indoor/outdoor cat, and I’ve always been curious about where she goes and how far she travels during the day. We’ve tried a few other trackers in the past, but they didn’t quite meet our expectations in terms of accuracy and reliability. The Fi Mini tracker has been a completely different experience. It’s very accurate, and we’re able to see her location in real time, which gives us a lot of peace of mind. The app is easy to use, and it’s reassuring to be able to check on her whenever we want. It’s honestly really nice to know where my baby cat is at all times and to see her little adventures. I would definitely recommend the Fi Mini to anyone with a curious indoor/outdoor pet. ... show more
