The product title confuses me, and is the reason I've taken a star off. I ordered thinking this was for usb 3.1 cables which would allow up to 10gbps transfer rates. If you read the description and look at other product photos, it's obvious that these are really gen 3.0 cables capable of 5gbps. While not a big difference, this feels very misleading. For data transfers, I was seeing 350+ mbps transfer speeds (see below), so I'm sure that this cable is rated as a gen 3.0 cable (with 3.1 and 3.2 cables I was seeing 550+ mbps). The braided cable looks nice and durable. Aside from the name stamped on the connector heads, there are no other markings, so there's no way to tell that this is a 60w gen 3.0 cable... I've had to label these with stickers so I can tell they're to be used to data transfers. I did some basic tests with a sandisk nvme drive in an external enclosure (the limiting factor here), and transferred files from a samsung nvmi 980 pro. My cables rated a 3.2 and 3.1 were both providing 550mbps transfer speeds, 3.0 cables gave 350mbps, and 2.0 cables were closer to 20mbps. I transferred 10gb files and timed them. Not the most accurate test, but I could clearly identify which cables were at least 3.0+ or better. A lot of junky usb-c cables in my collection (which came packaged with cheap chinese devices) couldn't even be used to transfer data, and were only good for charging! ... show more

These cables were excellent for quick charging. However, they do not support video streaming, a feature I was also looking for. Product descriptions don't always make this clear. Most of the "high transfer rate"/"high charging" cables you get don't pan out. I have a bag full of them and have just started thowing them away, most times the sheilds eventually give away....just frustrating. I needed a new cable for my phone (for travel bag) and figured I would give these a go. Wow nice cables, perform as well as the Samsung cable that came with my phone, but they seem much sturdier. One I now use as my main charger/data cable in my office and the other has been installed in my living room for people to use when needed. My only regret is that I got both of the shorter 3.5' cables, should have gotten the longer one for when I travel ... show more
