When we did our kitchen renovation, the owner of the company who installed our countertop recommended this sink. I was hesitant as sink is one of those items I wanted to see in person before I buy. After doing our research, we ended up buying this on amazon. I am so glad we listened to him! Here's why: - it's deep and huge! I can fit 3 big pots and a pan (check the photo). One pot is from 8oz Instant pot. - easy to clean. Once a week I spray it with vinegar and Dawn detergent solution and it sparkles like new! - I love the tray that comes with it, I use it as a drying rack and to keep it from scratching the sink. Barkeeper's friend is your best friend. We use that powder to remove stains on both sink and countertops. ... show more

This sink is a great price for stainless steel, and a wonderful wide, deep size. All prior reviews indicating a scratching issue were correct which is why I marked my rating one star down. Even so, I still think stainless is the most practical, utilitarian sink you can buy. My kitchen installer told me to make sure to use the chrome grate that comes with the sink to protect the bottom, but I can't stand those things. Food collects beneath them and glasses topple when placed on them. I discarded it. Because of that, on the first night of use, a serving bowl scratched the sink quite badly, which I expected. Eventually all the scratches will blend together to form an aged patina. A kitchen sink with heavy use is a wonderful item, in my opinion. It means you're cooking lots of meals for those you love. ... show more

Pros: Looks really nice Sound dampening feature is also nice Cons: 1. Water does not completely drain out - you would have to squeegee the water to the drain after each use if you want a clean, dry sink. 2. Scratches EASILY!!! Washed a light pot once without the bottom grid, sink now full of scratches. 3. As manufacturer recommendation - you have to WIPE THE SINK WITH A SOFT CLOTH after each to avoid stains. So, you really have to dry it. 4. You get water stains if you don't dry it well...even if you have a water softener. Unfortunately, we found out about the cons after it's installed. So, I guess we would have to live with it. Who wants a sink they have to dry all the time?!!! And if you don't lead the water out into the drain, you will have a puddle sitting in your sink all the time. ... show more

I absolutely hate this sink. I write this because I think that people should know what they re getting. I will say that with exception of the grate for the bottom of the sink, it is good quality for the money. However, the negative factor negates all of this for me. The trouble with the sink is that it does not drain water. There is always some water and food debris in it. To get the debris out, you must remove the sink grate (I don't like to use it because of this) and get a rag or sponge and push all the water out of it. If you don't, mold grows. It also grows under the sink grate. I love stainless sinks for their ease of use and this one just doesn't fit the ticket. BTW- I've owned more than 30 homes and I have never had a sink that I detested this much. ... show more

First the good. This sink is beautiful. The rack on the bottom works perfectly and the noise dampening is great. It never sounds hollow and even the disposal is quiet. There is so much room in it.....more room than I ever knew I wanted.that comes in handy pretty much every day. Now the bad..ish. None of this is actually bad. It's more forewarning. You should note before buying that this sink is probably a lot deeper than you're used to and that can make mounting a disposal pretty tricky. Plumbing this after it was installed under our new granite was a chore and far more complicated than I ever anticipated. This is the first single basin sink I've had so this may be typical, but water does not drain all that well out of the bottom. It's not really a problem, but if you have hard water you will be cleaning deposits off of it regularly. That's nothing that can't be solved with some Bar Keepers Friend and a rag, but this sink does require a little more maintenance. The rack on the bottom is really useful. It protects the metal bottom from pots and pans, dishes, etc and allows everything to drain nicely. It is, however, a pain in the rear to clean since it doesn't fit in a dishwasher and it does get covered in grime, food, hard water stains, etc.. it's well made no a little elbow grease get it shiny and new again, but that does take a little time. Don't let any of that dissuade you though. We get compliments on this sink every time someone steps into our kitchen and it's great living with it. ... show more

    • After Owning Over a Year, I Wish I Had Chosen Something Different

As others have said, this sink is large and pretty. When we built our new home, I knew I wanted a single bowl sink. We had changed out to a single bowl sink from a double sink when we remodeled our kitchen in our previous home, and I loved it. The scratching doesn't bother me, it's a sink. It's very large and deep and I haven't found a large pan, pot or tray that won't easily fit inside it. BUT what I have grown to hate about it is the fact that it will not drain food away. Drives me nuts! Food just sits in the corners if I don't scrape it out EVERY SINGLE TIME. I was excited about the grate to protect it but stopped using it after just one week, because I was always taking it out to clean food out of the corners. If I could go change it out right now I would, but it would be too complicated. If money were no object, it would be changed tomorrow! Might not be a big deal to others, and I thought I would get used to it. That's why I didn't write a review sooner, but I just can't get past this annoying detail. I would gladly go back to my much cheaper, rounded corner single-bowl sink from our previous home. It might not have been as modern or as large, but it was much more functional because it drained everything easily and I just walked away after using it without having to use my hands to scrape and direct food scraps down the drain. ... show more
