  • Bargin Flip to Side Magnifier
The Flip to side magnifier is a great best of both worlds. Previously, I would run a 4x12 mag lightweight aluminum scope. I say lightweight but it was still heavy relatively speaking. The standard scopes offer great optical clarity, low aberrations and a high magnification but you run into trouble if you try to place a reflex sight or holographic. Offset 45 degree mounts are rising in popularity and seems to be a natural motion to rotate the rifle into your shoulder cavity more but still that may seem too monkey of a build and movement for you as I couldn’t fall in love with the idea myself. This flip to side magnifier is a good solution because unlike many of the others, it actually offers variable magnification by using a telescopic lens that you rotate about 90 degrees to go from 1.5x-5x magnification instead of many others fixed at 3x magnification. So far, the lenses have held up to shock and recoil but time will tell with heat and the normal violent abuse rifles put on them. I am running this on a 14.5” 5.56 chambered custom AR build. The mount should be scrutinized in these reviews since it is the main moving part that has to support the scope and be in nearly exactly the same spot every time the scope folds into the gun.. This mount seems to be fairly strong. It seems to be built from aluminum and I really like the big nut with a side hole to really crank it down on the Pic rails. The push button actuation is smooth and lubed from the factory, again time will tell. There is a little bit of shaft play but its only a few degrees and I can live with it, its more than good enough. All said and done, for ~$80 it seems like a great bargain deal, its clean, it looks cool in matte black, and especially with the fact that it has a telescoping zoom function. I really like this solution and I think I will stick with it on my rifles ... show more

  • Great Magnifier Horrible Mount
At first look this product seem to be extremely sturdy and well-built. Well I was right about the magnifier but not so much about the mount. The magnifier itself is very clear as compared to other more high dollar magnifiers which I do own from various other companies. My only disappointment with this product was the mount. Initially it mounted fairly sturdy but after one day of putting it through the paces on my suppressed 9 mm carbine (about 300 rounds) the mount failed. The mount retained its ability to stay on the rail but the plunger button mechanism would no longer work correctly. The magnifier would not click into place and stay there as advertised. I have since ordered another sturdier mount and I’m waiting for its arrival. Before the failure, I was quite impressed with the clarity of the glass the ease at which it can be focused. Eye relief at the higher magnification’s is somewhat unforgiving but doable. The sweet spot for me was at three time magnification. I may have just been one of the unlucky ones as this product has good reviews and I can see why. Again, my only complaint about this product was the mount itself so if you want to roll the dice I think it would still be worth it. The ability to magnify in increments are well worth the cost and the minor inconvenience. ... show more

  • Basing this off price. Doesn't seem poor quality, kinda seems like a bargain.
Well, it mounts, dot centers (its a hair off to the left), and flips in and out easily. I would rather just run a dot or fixed 4x, but if you want this option, this isn't a bad guy to get some practice in with. I just bought it to try out, if I like it I'll buy a nicer one. Noticeable weight...not alot, but noticeable, seems to re-center on the dot when I flip it up everytime. Oh, and it doesn't look terrible either, bonus. Sorry no pics, but it doesn't have a specific home yet. I see use in it. Optics are clear and bright. Will update after some use. ... show more

  • Mid tier for mid price
It works. It doesn’t align completely with my red dot (Sig Sauer Romeo7) no matter what I do with it or the dot. The image is clear enough, although the more zoomed it is the worse eye relief is. At 5x I almost have to kiss it to get a full picture. It is much clearer in bright light, and gets a bit hazy in lower light. It comes with no instructions so use, installation, and adjustment are up to the user to figure out. The hinge is stiff as all get out. But it does look clean and quality. It is light enough for what it is. It functions as well as I would expect, and if my dot is zeroed there are no accuracy issues I am happy with is compared to the price. ... show more

  • Holy dot distortion!
I received and bolted this up to my 5.56. I had high hopes for it due to the reviews, but the dot distortion is insane. It renders the magnifier useless at the distance it’s supposed to be useful. The variable zoom is a great idea in theory, but as stated the distortion renders it useless. The flip mount is also stiffer than any other I’ve ever used. Maybe it breaks in over time, don’t know, don’t care. Returning this. I understand it’s a budget magnifier, but I’m not gonna use a magnifier that turns my 2 moa dot into a splatter with a line. I didn’t get a pic of the distortion, and I’m not taking the optic back out of the box to get one. If you order one, be prepared to return it. Additionally, the eye relief changes with zoom level and is very picky. If changing it zoom on the fly, you’ll have to move your head back and forth to get a decent sight picture. And it’s not a steady in and out. It goes from several inches back, then inward, then back out. Other than the distortion, the glass clarity is decent. That’s about the only pro here. ... show more

  • defective optic/good sellers
i bought this back in june this year. it is paired with a sig green dot on my AR. recently, it has started to go off of holding zero. i couldn’t even see the green dot anymore after shooting. i tried fixing it multiple times and it just messes up again. the reason i’m giving 5 stars is because of the sellers. i reached out to Feyachi and they automatically were apologizing for the defect of the optic. since they do have a one year warranty, they are sending out a replacement so hopefully this one lasts longer. ... show more
