  • These do work one-handed if you have decent dexterity
Drill some 20mm holes in your assembly table and enjoy how well these clamps hold your workpiece. There ain't much more to say about that. But there is the added benefit of how well they hold your Festool tracksaw rail too. Yup, pretty decent all around. I can even clamp them with one hand, so ha ha to those people who don't like these because they have to use two hands. Sorry the world is so rough on you! #firstworldproblems are the worst! Anyway, I have yet to find a need nor even a desire to get the other Festool clamps. You know, the newer ones that are for one-handed use. I can twist there just fine. Saved a few coins and got some killer clamps! ... show more

  • Must have.
If you own the rails or MFT table these are a must have. The Festool rails do stay in place good on their own with the built in grip, but for some cuts you will need these. Allot of complaints about the prices on these and I think its fine. $20 each for a non china clamp is not unreasonable. The company that makes these clamps charges about the same for their brand which dont fit the rails so.. Seems fine to me. On a couple projects I already wish I owned the quick clamps when I had to clamp/unclamp 50 things or so but the $80 for 2 clamps can be put to better use for now. ... show more

  • work great!
My first order for these was a "used, like new" offer. When I opened the box there was only 1 clamp! Sent that back. Price was great (I think it was $33), but not a great price for one. I went ahead and ordered a New one. They work great! 4 starts is for the price.

Used with the Festool guide rails these clamps are a suitable extension for holding the rail in place. I have also used with the MFT table and they work just as well horizontally as vertically in the holes. Typical Festool quality and design

  • Festool Quality (and Price).
Works fine, nice quality but, like a lot of Festool products, the price seems a little high for what you get.

  • Works for what it is
As with all Festool accessories they are Excessively EXPENSIVE for a simple low tech item. That said, it does do a decent job of clamping the rails down once you get it set, but as with all these sliding clamps they take three hands to set them up as you have to manually hold it in a tight enough position that when you screw the handle in it causes it to pinch the bar and jams it locked. I have a personal dislike of this type of clamp just too much fussing around to get it to hold and not move the rail in the process. I decided to try the DeWalt DeWalt DWS5026 Track-Saw Track Clamps that work with a single handed trigger action like a Irwin bar clamp. Now these are the answer, easy one hand use. I still use these Festool clamps to hold things down on the Multi-Function Table as the DeWalt clamps do not fit in the table holes like the Festool clamps do so they are not totally wasted but I just do not prefer these style clamps. Gave it low stars because they annoy me to use, but they do what they are advertised to do ... show more

  • Guide Rail Clamps Not Up To Par With Festool Excellence
Festool equipment is, as most reviewers will note, in a class by itself. You can read about my experiences and watch me use Festool equipment by going to Highlandwoodworking.com and clicking on the "Online Magazine" link and by going to YouTube and searching for the Down to Earth Woodworker. The accessory clamps made to fit the Festool guide rail system, unfortunately, like many accessories sold by many other companies, are not of the same standard of excellence Festool equipment represents and look more like an afterthought. They work fine, and are the only clamps I know of that fit into the underside of the guide rail allowing one to clamp the guide onto sheet goods or dimensional stock without interfering with the router or saw being guided. But don't expect the same thoughtful design, elegant engineering, and exceptional fit and finish that are the trademarks of Festool power tools. These clamps are probably "outsourced" --- made by another manufacturer. The casting is rough, the handles are cheap, the paint is thin and poorly applied, and at $36 the pair, we should expect more. Instead, they look like bargain-tool-store hand clamps. ... show more
