Item was on sale when I got it. This was the cheapest option among products of this type. It was wider (38 inches instead of 31), comes with a 4 inch mattress, has wheels, and could even tri-fold instead of just bi-fold. Item was really heavy so I feel bad for the delivery guy. All that said, I was impressed with the quality control of this brand. I ordered 3 for the 3 guests coming over, and all 3 were assembled flawlessly within 10-15 minutes each. Not a single one of them had a defect. This was a huge relief for us because, due to unfortunate holiday timing, we had to assemble these on the day the guests arrived, so if things didn't work out, then they would have had nowhere to sleep. I'm really glad it turned out well. We do prefer hard mattresses, and these were hard, so we liked them. It might not be for everyone... although I'd think it'd be easy enough to add a layer of padding. For a thin mattress like this over metal frame, it'd be much longer lasting to have a hard mattress. The soft kind would sag into the metal frame with weight and deform / break down sooner. Although, one thing I did like is that these also came with a black foam layer to put in between the frame and the mattress. My guess is to protect the mattress from being imprinted by the frame, so I guess even if someone does want to replace the original mattress within a softer one, they might be able to without risking to damage their mattress too much.... I liked the original mattress so it didn't matter. The black foam layer also prevents the person sleeping on it from feeling the shape of the bars of the frame so I'm really glad that they included them. Item was really easy to move around once installed, thanks to the wheels. We didn't use the shelf... didn't think we'd need them. Could use our night stand instead. Haven't had a chance to put it away yet but my plan is to just fold it in half and put a giant plastic cover over it to shield it from dust. The frame also has a handle at the head and tail of the bed to prevent the mattress from sliding. Overall, for the price, and for the quality and convenience of this as a package, I loved it. p.s. for reference, I got some twin sheets to go with these. I also got some 50 x 70 blankets for these.... If I were to do it again I might go for 50 x 80 instead to accommodate the taller guests, but 50 x 70 works nicely for me and other shorter guests.

I actually sleep on this bed every night and the bed is very comfortable. Folding it is not bad at all once you get the hang of it. Just a word of advise, the little “arm” that swivels on the foldable head/foot side, please hook it between the screw on the bottom of the mattress and the silver screw piece. Many people have complained that the bed gave out on them and slanted on them. The instructions are not very very clear for this part. I had to figure this part out.

Bed was difficult to assemble for this old lady, and hard to fold up, but, the quality of the mattress and the sleep I enjoyed on it made the struggle absolutely worth it.

I got this for an efficiency apartment for work. It was a quick, compact and cost effective alternative to a traditional bed. It was easy for me to move, set up, and take down when I left the apartment. Very handy. The frame is heavy square tube. It's powder coated and has a good finish. The bed itself reflects this in being kind of heavy to lift up, but not prohibitively heavy for a person in moderate shape. It has rollers so once you've got it together it won't really need lifted much. The unit came mostly assembled. The mattress is about 2" thick and is vertsinly.kore comfortable than sleeping on the floor or an air mat or air mattress. It's not as cushy as a regular mattress but very pasable.

You can't fold it up with the attached " headboards, " so you will have to unscrew them after and before using them. As you can see in the picture, it does not fit, and this is only bi-folded. The mattress is thin and so hard, so I got a soft topper on top of it because I can not let a guest sleep on it. I am just not impressed, especially not for this amount.

This is a really great idea if you really don't have guests over enough to justify a guest room, but have guests over enough that sleeping on the sofa just won't do. This is a strong, high quality fold away bed that stores nicely away when not in use and is easy to get out and make ready when you need it. Seems to be sturdy and made well with quality materials and craftsmanship. Did great over this last holiday with family staying over. I recommend.

This is easy to keep stored away and set. It isn’t super comfortable for adults, but for kids/teens it’s great. Perhaps a mattress topper would make it more comfortable for adults, but I think it would have to be removed when storing this away. I like that it is easy to setup and easy to put away. This is great to have on hand if you have guests and need extra sleeping space.
